Hotel situated in centre of Luso. Good value for comfortable double room. Staff helpful. Breakfast consisted of good choice. Indoor pool great size but whole facility needed updating. Swim hats are a requirement.

We stayed here for a Saturday night during early July because our usual Viseu hotel was full. The property is situated in the centre of the town, which is small and has an Alpine feel to it. By virtue of the network of one-way streets, we approached the hotel off the east-west N234, rather than from the N235 which enters...

The room we were allocated was not as nice as some 4-star hotels we have stayed in. The hotel is in desperate need of renovation. Breakfast disappointing and Buffett dinner very basic and not much choice. The room windows face the street side, where often scurry cars. In summary - very nice if you want to treat yourself, but I...

The original hotel dates back from the 1940’s, but was very recently renovated. Rooms and toilets are spacious and with good finishings, and ours had a balcony overlooking the forest. Breakfast was better than average – milk and coffee, different breads, fruit selection, cheese and hams, as well as the usual hot dishes (eggs, bacon. etc). Luso is a well...

We only had one night in the Grande Hotel and could easily have stayed much longer. The rooms are huge and the whole hotel seems newly refurbished. Our room (416) had a balcony that overlooked the olympic sized pool, with diving tower, and across to the town and forest-covered hills. There is also a warm indoor pool. Breakfast was included...

Great location in Pretty spa town but hotel is very old fashioned and dated. Indoor pool you have to wear swim hats! Outdoor pool amazing and just huge! Breakfast disappointing and Buffett dinner very basic and not much choice. Hotel staff not the happiest.

Not sure I really want to share this hotel. Have been coming here for years. In the summer Portuguese extended families come year after year. The older generation use the spa,the youngest use the childrens club. The rest enjoy the sun around the Olympic sized outdoor pool, or if the weather is not too good have a swim in the...

This hotel is amazing!! It's a throwback to 1920s style and glamour with a modern twist .stands proud in the little town of Luso where you must visit the Spa water museum and drink the pure water. We visited all restaurants in Luso and they were all lovely, very reasonable and most obliging. There aren't too many Brits in this area...

My experience in Grande Hotel do Luso was excellent, is was our wedding night, the room was big, beautifully decorated, very clean and the bathroom like wise, everything you would expect for a 4 star hotel. The bed was big and very comfortable. The hotel was quiet and clean. The breakfast was buffet and was god with a good variety...

Nice traditional hotel, very smooth and calm, with good facilities, namely excelente swimming pools. The service is nice. Good breakfist buffet. The rooms are not very big but are confortable. There is a SPA available which I didn't use so I not able to rate. Near to other good sites to visit (Buçaco, Coimbra, Curia)
