Beautiful palacehotel and friendly and helpful staff. Excellent portuguise restaurant. Golf close but only 9 holes. Nice village nearby. I would like to return Curia some day. Only two and half hours from Lisbon.

This Hotel has a fantastic and rich history. On the past it was very popular holiday place for the rich Portuguese families. We could feel the tradition and could see the beautiful garden and building… But we didn’t get the same experience. The time is stopped in this hotel, but not in the golden age. The rooms, and the furniture...

You can feel the history when you walk into this huge hotel which first opened its doors in 1926 but this feeling is not always good. We stayed for only one night on an unfortunately rainy day in March and sadly we were not able to enjoy the beautiful grounds to the fullest. When you arrive the building feels imposing...

We stayed at the Curia Palace in April 2014, for my sister´s wedding weekend. Lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings. Rooms are of a good size and very well equipped. Carlos, Jean-Paul and the other members of staff were extremely helpful at all times. Very good value for money and if I was ever in the vicinity, I would not hesitate...

We visited this hotel for one night as part of a conducted tour of northern Portugal. It rose from the countryside, in palatial splendour and we admired the beautiful gardens fronting the hotel, garlanded with perfect pink roses, though the unkempt grass beneath might have earned us of what was to come. The reception hall boasted a wonderful period lift,...

Looking to the hall, the dining room ,the ancient photos we can without much effort imagine the old days ,with the the big parties . The rooms are small but clean . Breakfast is average as is dinner...

We booked the Curia Palace at very short notice, was concerned as to what we going to get from a value point of view as had only paid £59 for 2 for overnight accommodation and breakfast. Should not have worried too much, extremely good value for the monies we paid. Very deceiving building looks really old and historic but was...

The hotel seemed like a movie set, since the first time u get through the main gate, until all the way to the rooms and several divisions. The rooms could be bigger and i think a kettle should be a nice adition. Since it is a very old building, the floor cracks when someone walks, and it can be annoying...

Lidia, Monica and the other staff members made my wife and I feel special. They were friendly and helpful. After reading the other reviews, staff professionalism was not mentioned so I decided to make sure that they all know, and others that read this, that we felt special as guests. Even the dining room woman who was the one who...
