We spent a week at Palazzo Majo this summer. Very comfortable. The rooms are all huge and well appointed. Joe made us feel enormously welcome and it was great to have a connection to the local area. I have never been to Umbria before and I hope I get the chance to go back.

I don't think I can adequately express how amazing Joe and Mario are!! To say that they bend over backwards is a massive understatement. The Palazzo is beautiful with modern stark decor which leaves you to focus on the gorgeous views outside your window. My first stay was in late February 2012 to finalize plans for my wedding a few...

Palazzo Majo is in a stunning location, the front faces onto an Italian hillside village, while the back has super views over the valley. The Palazzo has been restored really well, in a minimalist modern style; which appeals to me; and to a very high standard. The rooms are very airy and comfortable. Mario is a great host, he was...

Palazzo Majo is a wondrous place. Located in the Umbrian hilltop town of Lugnano, Palazzo Majo reigns supreme overlooking the beautiful country valley. Owners/Brothers Mario and Joe Camillo have painstakingly remodelled the place and given it a clean modern vibe to contrast the rich natural beauty and predominant 19th c. architecture of the village. My weeklong stay with family and...

I think this was our 3rd stay at Palazzo Majo and each time it just gets better. Joe and Mars already feel like family and the villa feels like our 2nd home (although much more luxurious than our one in Twickenham!). We spent a week here in mid-July taking over the whole villa for most of that week with a...

My first thought upon arrival was that the front of the hotel looks much nicer in reality than in the photographs. The gravelled courtyard has a feeling of soft grandeur that only a 360 degree video would convey. On going inside, the thick walls and original stone floors provided airy coolness and respite from the heat. The tasteful combination of...

My husband and I spent two amazing nights at Palazzo Majo and I couldn't have asked for anywhere more perfect. I arranged the trip as a surprise for his birthday, and when we arrived Joe and Mario opened a bottle of Prosecco and cooked lunch for us, which we ate out on the terrace - a lovely treat. Everything about...

We booked all 5 rooms at the Palazzo Majo in September for a group of friends and our children (aged between 3 and 17). We had an amazing and unforgettable time. The Villa is fantastic, with really stylish and modern interiors and the grounds are lovely with lots of places for the kids to explore. Four of the rooms are...

We arrived to a warm welcome from Mario. The room was stylish, spacious and comfortable. We found a brilliant restaurant within walking distance. The pool was clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was plentiful and Mario prepared us a really tasty lunch, upon request. The palazzo has excellent views of a beautiful part of Umbria and would be a great base...

We stayed here for a short break with our 4yr old & 18 month old boys. We were made to feel like one of the family & felt completely relaxed throughout the trip. The rooms, facilities, food & location are second to none & all excellent value for money. The excellent restaurant with stunning views was only a short walk...
