Spent 2 days with my sisters here, were warmly welcomed by our host Giovanni, wine sausage and cheese platter with olive oil! Our host had travel suggestions, the rooms perfect!! Wish we had more time there!

Two weeks on two different apartments. Extremely well kept property, simple and authentic interior, and a peaceful atmosphere. The service and attention from owner is amazing. He checks in several times a day, serves espresso and offers a help-yourself system to self-produced olive oil and wine. Supermarket and restaurants close by. This is a hidden gem!

We arrived at Il Colle on a steep, winding road at about 9 p.m. After a 10-hour drive, we had only one wish: something local to eat and maybe a glass of wine to wash it all down. Enter Giovanni, fresh, jovial and bursting with positive energy even at this late hour, and turned all of this into reality in...

We stayed for 10 days in Giovanni's hayloft house - which houses two people comfortably. In short we had a fantastic stay. Giovanni was supremely helpful in giving us information and advice about where to go, what to see and where to stay. We went to Florence, Siena, Lucca, Fiesole and surrounding villages, and he was able to give us...

Although we arrived to Il Colle on a rainy, cold day, Giovanni's welcome was warm and wonderful! We couldn't really enjoy the view due to the heavy clouds, but the room was nice and big, and we were greeted with a bottle of great Chianti, a plate of bread, Cheese and Salumi. The value for money was excellent. The only...

Our villa was perfect for our family. It was 2 storey and had a large bedroom, and washing machine in the bathroom which was really handy. It's not modern but it's homely. The welcome we got here from Giovanni was what made our holiday. Our two girls even after travelling all through Europe loved this experience the most! It's very...

We spent 3 nights at Il Colle after making our way north from the Amalfi Coast. Driving up, we said to each other, "Is this for real!?!" When you book on sites like vrbo, you wonder will the place live up to the photos, Il Colle is even better than advertised! The grounds are beautiful, the view over the chianti...

We just arrived back home in Texas after spending a week here with our two year old and the experience was amazing! For years I have dreamt of a vacation in Tuscany and Il Colle delivered it. For anyone needing to unplug from the world this is the place for you. When my husband and I drove up we couldn't...

Wow. It is such a pleasant surprise to find out that these places really do exist. Maybe it is harder to review when there are NO BAD POINTS to moan about.... Hmmm... Okay, let me start. We actually live about 150km away from Il Colle, so we were just looking for a little getaway with the kids (6 and 1)...
