We recently celebrated our daughter's wedding at Vicchiomaggio with 120 friends and family members. This family owned and operated Lombard castle renovated in the Renaissance was a dream location. The impeccable care with which the grounds are maintained, the extraordinary view, even for Tuscany, the kind and hard-working staff, the delicious Castello wines, olive oil, and special dinners all combined...

We recently included Chianti in Tuscany on our Italy visit and Castello Vicchiomaggio could not have been a more perfect choice to stay! Loved the grounds which were beautiful and well kept. It was quiet, relaxing, and amazing views. We stayed in the seperate Conica building and our room had a seperate living/sitting area, a/c, and a nice large shower....

We are just finishing up a week at the Castle and have enjoyed every minute. The grounds are peaceful and being perched on a small hill in the middle of a vinyard the views of the Chianti country side add to the charm. The infinity pool allows great views of the valley and is a very nice place to relax....

We have wanted to visit Castello Vicchiomaggio for many years and we finally got there this year, well worth the wait. We stayed in the Canonica suites, well furnished rooms with communal lounge, air conditioning and good WIFI access. The Canonica is a separate building away from the Castello so rooms here are quiet. This is a wonderful location with...

We stayed for 2 nights including a Monday night. We attended the Tuscan wine tasting meal. It was a great experience! The tour of the winery was great, then the wine tasting and meal was entertaining and delicious. The waiters then sang and it was just great. Hotel was wonderful for the value - no frills - not fancy -...

We adored out stay at Castello Vicchiomaggio. The grounds were simply STUNNING. It was a very short drive from Greve, but our favorite town nearby was actually the tiny, Montefiorelle. The breakfast each morning was delicious. The castello was the perfect base for touring nearby Siena and other Tuscan towns. It had a quiet, peaceful charm about it, which made...

We stayed here for 4 nights. The room was wonderful! 2 rooms, 2 fireplaces, views from each of the 4 large windows! The pool was great! This is a great stop to tour the chianti area and nearby hill towns. The breakfasts were the best! We did try the Tuscan dinner there one night and found it to be only...
