Mama Rosa does not speak English but doesn't matter: she is quite a character and makes you really feel welcome. Her helpful son Marco does speak English well. The location of the B&B is excellent: only a 10 to 15 minutes walk from the train station (ideal for going to very touristic Cinque Terre villages), only a minute or so...

Momma Rosa and Marco made our stay memorable. It is more a B & B than a hotel and we couldn't have been made more welcome. Marco speaks good English and Momma Rosa's Italian was so expressive that we could understand what she was trying to convey. It is a convenient springboard for the Cinque Terre. It is about 10...

The B&B is located very close to the beach in Levanto and very close to the train station, yet it still has the advantage of free car parking (almost unknown in town centre locations in this part of Italy). It is also close to the start of the walking path to Monterosso, and, while this isn't part of the official...

Not quite sure why this place was so highly rated. Yes, Mama Rosa is cute and the place is quaint in a kitschy sort of way. But 90 Euros a night is highway robbery! The size of the room is reminiscent of a room in Paris. Tiny, tiny, tiny, a postage stamp of a room. I had to walk sideways...

good morning, if in ten years that we are open she is the first person that complains about our service and the breakfast, maybe the problem is not us .. We have 2 types of rooms. the double room and small double. I remember that she booked (to save 10 €) the small bedroom. it is obvious that if it...

Levanto is the perfect base for exploring the Ligurian coast and this little B and B is well located and good value for money, for that exploration. We had a large room, plenty of towels (often restricted to 1 or 2 in other Bed and Breakfasts), generous breakfasts and good access to restaurants, the beach, walking trails, and supermarket. It's...

We had an absolutely perfect stay at Marco and Rosa's place in Levanto. Marco emailed us ahead of time so he could pick us up from the train station. The BnB is a 2 minute walk from the beach, 5 minute walk to a handful of excellent bars and restaurants, 5 minute walk to the trail head for the breathtaking...

Yep, this lady was a character alright. I think her strategy is, a hug a day equals an extra green dot on Tripadvisor. Any you know what, it just might. She is definitely charming, and I think it comes from the heart. Aside from the hugs and smiles and rainbows and unicorns, the hotel is actually a pretty solid choice....

Tucked away off a small street in the ancient section of Levanto is a marvelous little 5 bedroom "affitta camere" whose name translates to The Compass Rose. Very appropriate for this setting by the Ligurian Sea. Marco and his mother Rosanna make a great team operating this fine little establishment. It is lovely to see and comfortable to stay at....

This is our 2nd visit to Rosa dei Venti, Rosa and her Son Marco are just so lovely and welcoming, this was the reason we returned again We visited with friends and had four of the rooms. There are 4 large double rooms with lovely bathrooms and a smaller double room. The rooms are spotlessly clean. The breakfast has lots...

We spent 5 nights in Rosanna and Marco,s B&B in Levanto, on the strength of the great reviews on trip advisor. We weren't disappointed. It was like staying with an Italian family, complete with Rosa's washing drying at the front of the B&B, like a typical Italian home. Breakfast was from 8.00 and the wonderful aroma of baking bread greeted you...

“We had a great room, it was just a little noisy when other guests came home late at night and turned on their tv. Sorry not sure of room number - but imagine all rooms would be quiet as the area is quiet, it just depends on the other guests.”

There are 4 large double rooms with lovely bathrooms and a smaller double room. The rooms are spotlessly clean. The breakfast has lots of choice with fresh yogurt and omelettes everyday along with breads, cakes jams and cheeses. Choice of hot drinks and fruit juice, and Rosa is happy to cling film any left overs for you to take out with you for the day. It is in a great location close to beach and shops, and about 10 mins walk from the train station, to enable you to visit all of the villages and surrounding areas. This year we hired bike's from across from the B & B for 2 euros an hour and rode through the old railway tunnels to Bonassola and Fumarea. We love the Cinque Terre and will definitely return to see Rosa and Marco again.”
