We went there in June 2011. The hotel is located as the name suggests, literally on the beach and looks exactly like on pictures. It is located on via Litoranea, the main street on Ischia which is usually pretty busy during the day, but you can't hear the traffic while in your room. Plenty of buses stop just outside the...

A nice clean hotel with a great location. The staff here are the real selling point for staying here, they make you feel so welcome it feels like a home from home. The Hotel Manager (Nunzio) is very accommodating and changing our room to one with a sea view was sorted straight away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the...

Nice, clean and cozy hotel. Nice staff, good food at internal restaurant, aviable PC with free internet for your use.. nothing to complain about comfort of your stay. -1 point for being a little bit far from restaurants and surrounding cities - there is a bus stop very close, but buses arent so frequent as you would wish to. I...

Hotel Antares is advertised as a 3 star hotel but don't let the stars fool you. The first room they offered us had paint peeling from the walls, built-in wooden closets with make shift curtains for doors, a lock which looks like it was tampered with, and a desk with no chair to sit on. After I told the receptionist...

The Antares is on the road halfway between Casamicciola and Lacco Ameno - about 5 minutes walk along the coast road from either. There are also 3 or 4 buses an hour in each direction stopping just outside the hotel. There is just the road and a narrow strip of beach separating the hotel from the sea, and you could...

We went for three nights & stayed for six as Lacco Ameno is a great base to discover Ischia.and the Antares is the friendliest hotel there. The rooms(very clean) are simply furnished but have bathroom, TV, aircon, and comfortable beds. Helpfull friendly staff, comfortable ten minute walk to the village along the waterfront. The same room in the village costs...

I stayed 2 nights at Hotel Antares. I'm from New York City (Brooklyn), and traveled with some friends through Italy. We found ourselves at Hotel Antares, which was a great experience. The island of Ischia is beautiful, so most of our time was spent exploring. But when we came back to Antares we were met with friendliness and clean rooms....

The hotel had a great location right beach. The hotel staff was above what I expected. I would stay there again if visiting Ischia. This hotel made me feel relaxed: They were very knowledgeable about the area and different things to see and do there. I am very likely to return to the Hotel Antares. I would definitely recommend it...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Antares lies close to the sea, on the coast road that joins Casamicciola Terme to Lacco Ameno. In fact, a small private subway leads to a modest-sized beach. The trendiest centres, including the thermal commune par excellence, Casamicciola Terme, as well as the famous Lacco Ameno with Corso Angelo Rizzoli, its VIP guests and prestigious boutiques are all very close to the hotel. ... more   less
