Lovely little hotel right in the harbour. Close to all the amenities and local buses. Excellent small pool on the roof top. Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Our room was cleaned every day with fresh towels. Would definitely recommend.

Clean room, made up every day, very good service, breakfast is standard good Italian. Pool on the roof terrace, the terrace area is good with chairs and tables as well as sunbeds.

We booked our trip through Fleetway having seen the holiday advertised on Travelzoo. Four days before our holiday we were informed we'd be staying in this hotel as the original hotel Zaro was overbooked. (We spoke to a few other people in our hotel and they too had been moved at late notice). Our initial greeting at the hotel was efficient but not particuarly welcoming. We were shown to our room which was on the second floor and opened onto the courtyard. It was very warm and after an early start we feared the worse. However once Aircon was switched on the room temperature was fine. Room 109 was decent size and large king sized bed, a bit firm but relatively comfortable. Good shower, but small cubicle, Had problem with the toilet which was fixed the same day Breakfast was typical Italian, fruit and yoghurts, meats cheese and cakes, boiled eggs available on the first few mornings but after that only the scrambled egg and fatty bacon if you wanted the 'english' Rooftop was in the sun most of the time and pleasant place to relax and watch the harbour comings and goings. Pool very small but useful to cool off. There was an indoor pool but we didn't use it Not sure whether it was the lack of English, but there was little interaction with staff. We went to have a look where we should have been staying and on reflection we were glad we were in Forio. Plenty of bars and restaurants around Enjoyed visits to the Aragonese castle, Gardens at la mortela and to the rock at San Angelo. Using the bus was certainly an experience, not for those who don't like standing and being crushed We were on halfboard so chose evening meal from a limited menu at breakfast, by the end of the week we'd had enough of pasta Transfers from Naples airport were all included, the local representatives were Sun Lux Viaggi Would we stay again, possibly, but would want a room with a view and stay B&B Hotel very clean but would rate it more 3 star

We ended up here by default: for one night. First impressions were, in fairness, quite favorable. The obvious plus is the location. It's immediately off the main road with easy access to the town, beaches, shops, bars and restaurants. Ticked some boxes there then! I'm afraid that's about it though. The room we were allocated had steep stairs to the bedroom from the main part of it: with very insecure handrails. Not ideal for someone who's had 4 surgeries on their knees (no other rooms available, before you ask). We've been to many places in the bay of Naples before. We know what they serve for breakfast and we don't have a problem with that. However, if your scrambled eggs are literally frozen and every ordinarily basic request is met by a ridiculed, quizzical look by the borderline delinquents serving you then that's the time you hope to God that it is only a one night stay here. I asked the reception lad if I had to wear 'long trousers' for the evening meal offering. If I had had the foresight to capture his facial expression in response it would have gone viral on Facebook by now! I'm not talking about a language barrier here. It's about simple, non demanding service. The kind you'd expect of a 2 or 3 star establishment let alone a 4 star which they claim. This may have been a one off: perhaps. We can only speak as we find. Hope this helps.

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights at The Hotel Villa Carolina which is an ideal location for a break in Forio. We were greeted on arrival by a very friendly and helpful staff member who advised us on the local area. We had a Deluxe Sea View Room which was well worth paying extra for. It was modern and contained 2 double beds - 1 being on a separate mezzanine area - and so could have slept 4 if we’d so wished. On Thursday and Friday night, there is some noise from nearby bars but this was barely audible when the room window was closed. Across the road, the pleasant little beach had plenty of space( even in August) when all of the other local beaches seemed rammed with people and we also used the rooftop pool and terrace to relax.

It was a horrible stay at this hotel. The manager only thought about money and was therefore unkind. Hi was not only unkind to the guest but also to his staff. It was not hard to see that the staff was afraid of him.

I just had the most horrible hotel experience of my life. Thanks to the manager of this hotel our holiday was ruined. We accidentally made a small hole in a door and for that we had to pay for three new doors and two extra nights at the hotel. In total we had to pay 800 euros and he threatened us multiple times by telling us that he would call the police. We are group of four students with a very limited income. The worst part was that he just laughed in our faces.

A nice modern hotel in a great location. Although I prefer the charm of an older hotel that is more traditional and where you get that Italian feel of this lovely island. But this is only my personal taste. There is a great terrasse on the roof of the hotel with a small pool. From there you have a fantasic view along tge coast and the harbour. There is also a courtyard up on the 2nd floor with a nice view onto an old building. When we arrived we were told that we got an upgrade, free of charge, to the junior suite. How nice, we thought. My husband and I found out why we received such a "generous" upgrade shortly afterwards: the hotel was full with 70 Italian students, around 15 years old! They were so loud that it was impossible to sleep (despite earplugs), the walls even vibrated from them pounding on the floors and walls. I could not believe that the staff at reception did not do anything about it and complained to those kids to be be quiet!!! Having had a 6.15am flight and a lack of sleep this was simply awful. The airconditioning did not work either, could hardly breath. The window was shut at night as next to our lovely looking suite with balcony was a night club, open til 3am! Next day the kids left and I hoped for a good night sleep as I felt shattered. I was wrong. That disco next door was so loud that our room vibrated. At ca 11pm I went to the receptionist who said she would talk to the night club. The receptionist rang us and said that it was a special night and they would keep playing that loud, if we would like to change rooms. We did. Then another receptionist, the dark haired man who gave us so "generously" that suite, said cheekyly to me: but you will not have the same good sea view. I could not care less. I wanted to sleep! The room was awful. Like a prison. My husband got furious and spoke to the manager in the morning who apologised and gave us another room with seaview and roadview for the 3rd and last night. The airconditioning worked. I was glad to leave to another hotel in Ischia. The breakfast was not bad. My husband's cappuccino was delicious, my americano was instant coffee. A shame as you expect good coffee in Italy. I had it later in the day in one of the many coffee shops.

The hotel is located in a prime location in Forio. It is surrounded by many restaurants overlooking the harbour and is also just across the road to where the hydrofoil departs and arrives. The rooms are a tad small, but are clean with new furniture. The beds are excellent. There are TVs in the room but with only one English news channel. The breakfasts are better than most hotels in Italy. There is a lovely roof terrace, which has a small swimming pool, which is rather cold. It is more a plunge pool than a swimming pool. There is no restaurant or cafe on the terrace, but there is a heated pool on a lower floor. Overall, would highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful building on the harbor of Forio, the hotel is very well located with stunning sea views. The plunge pool on the roof is tiny but the terrace around is very nice. The rooms are comfortable but basic and very impersonal. WiFi is only available on the lobby and in the restaurant and breakfast room. The staff doesn't care but gets the job done. Once more, it's disappointing because it could be such a nice place!
