Located right on the "Plage du Soleil" (Sunny Beach), very south of the Ile d'Oléron, the hotel benefits from a totally quiet and preserved site. Facing the ocean, the terraces, some of the rooms and the restaurant are living at the rythm of tides ; Some other rooms are located on the garden side. All bedrooms (13-31 m2) are nicely decorated and provide very comfortable queen or king size beds, and fully equipped bathrooms (italian showers)

We spent 1 week in July in this very nice place with a perfect and quiet location right by the sea. We had only booked rooms without breakfast and also did not consume breakfast as we did not eat anything in the morning. Our room was on the ground floor towards the garden (so without sea view) with terrace and was very comfortable and nice (as new). Staff and management very dedicated and friendly. Parking available. Restaurant with very nice terrace and perfect view of the sea. Excellent cuisine! Highly recommended. To the center and other restaurants on foot about 20 to 30 minutes. Bicycles are available for rent at the hotel. We felt very comfortable and would book this place again.

+1
We found the hotel as a whole very good with great hospitality, and lovely people. The bed was top, super comfortable (I have back problems and it's been a long time since I slept so well in a hotel). However, we found the room a little small for the price. Luckily we had the sea view.We dined at the restaurant where we ate very well, but we found the dessert prices quite expensive for what it was. Regarding the breakfast, the one was good, but missing some things that could have justified the excessive price.

Welcome to this charming hotel which is very well located. We enjoyed the quiet room with a view of the ocean. Thank you to the chef for allowing us to enjoy delicious dishes served by discreet and competent staff. In summer it must be a pleasure to eat on the terrace and we will come back on sunny days.
A small downside is the bathroom where you cannot store these toiletries but that remains anecdotal!!

Magnificent location
The restaurant and hotel have been recently restored
The service is very pleasant
The dishes, all the dishes were enjoyed by everyone at our table
We still have to discover the hotel because the location by the ocean must offer an excellent start to the day at breakfast.

The room, impeccable. All the staff, super friendly. I find that for the Award, the kitchen is not at the required level. Always the same herbs above the dishes is good, but too much is too much. Our daughter ordered us a bottle of champagne. He was denied a few small ovens because we were half board. It's not much of a business.

Very well located and very quiet hotel
Facing the ocean
The rooms are perfect and nothing to complain about the bedding
And the dinner was wonderful, we ate very well, there was something for everyone, whether more of a sea person or not.
and the staff takes great care

Restaurant very well placed and high quality dishes BUT
Extremely long meal for 3 courses more than 3 hours. We ate out of step which is not acceptable given the rates charged.
The staff don't listen to the criticism and worse we almost got EVICTED for making a remark about the slowness of the meal.
Wasted moment that amply justifies this Rating.
The Owner who has come to understand my annoyance and must reflect on the behaviour to be adopted by his staff when the service is not at the level to which one can claim.
A 10% error on top of the final invoice amount completes an unpleasant moment.

Always a real pleasure to come to dinner at the albatross. An exceptional kitchen an extraordinary setting of the bosses and a staff with little care and very professional. All this in a good mood We always have a great time.Every holiday in Saint Trojan we never miss an opportunity to eat there

Beautiful recently renovated establishment in a privileged environment facing the ocean. Decor neat and pleasant. 3 nights in a nice and quiet room. Despite the closure of the restaurant for holidays, proposal of simple replacement full dinner with good products. Very available and attentive team that develops a friendly atmosphere. I recommend this property for a pleasant relaxing time with beautiful walks in Oléron
