We return from two weeks at Azureva Oleron.
The pros: the center is very well located on the island, start of the cycle paths in front, 25 minutes from the ocean on foot through the forest, with houses scattered under the pines, very quiet, the bar terrace very pleasant ( and nice waiters), top concert, top magic show, mini-boom every evening for children with dedicated children's entertainers, change of sheets, towels, cleaning at mid-stay, friendly children's, teen family entertainers with special mention for Mathéo at the top with the teenagers, aperitif/coffee games well hosted by Souleymane, very nice beach volleyball court in the center of the village, 2 pools including a large swimming pool, home-cooked dishes by a chef who puts a lot of heart into it, homemade desserts (tiramisu yum)
The -: organization of meal service, the buffet would be simpler and would avoid waiting, dishwasher to change cutlery with residue and teaspoons missing at breakfast, bathroom of accommodation to renovate, entertainment schedule to be enriched .
In short, a center with strong potential subject to better management by management: organization of meals to be reviewed, appointment of an entertainment manager to help the team, appointment of a center director who must be present in constantly in the center to put it all to music.
We will definitely come back subject to these improvements.

We left me, my husband and my daughter 7days to Azureva Île d'Oleron in half board.
When we arrive, first surprise: no refrigerator! Forced to ask twice to get a mini-bar (30€) where we can only store 5 bottles of water maximum. After asking a facilitator, we are told a cooler available to all.
The apartment was enough for 3 ( two bedrooms 2pers) but small disadvantage of having to pass one of the two bedrooms to access the bathroom (which is small and 70s).
Pool on top: heated (even hot with sunburn!! ), supervised , large , with slide...
On the other hand the animation is not up to it!! Discreet hosts but the director is on all fronts we met him almost every day in different places and present on every meal. But he can't do everything on his own, we have been confronted several times with broken plates, decanters, certain dishes... and especially lack of diversity of dishes (e.g. " couscous evening" with no alternative )
Very large petanque court enough for several families to play at the same time.
Easy access to the beach (20/25min bike ride) by bike path.
Beautiful beach!
In summary: very good overall stay but small efforts to make on some points, access to the beach simple , director present , beautiful pool.
PS: ⚠️BEWARE of mosquitoes⚠️

Good service with friendly team. The pools are a plus after our hikes. The food is good. Buffet starter and dessert quite repetitive but fruits are offered and it has something for all tastes. The room is small but lots of storage. Missing cup in sdb. The mini bar (paying 5 euros per day) would be a plus (especially in summer). The bar is nice. Village club with human dimension.

The big black spot is undoubtedly catering, my children ate better when they were in the school canteen. Always the same starters and desserts at lunch and in the evening (grated carrots, tasteless tomatoes, beets, etc...), lucky we were half board!!! And again it was very expensive for what it was.
The team of facilitators tries to set a little pace with very modest means, thank you.
Common facilities are completely outdated and poorly cleaned. The tables on the terrace of the bar do not call to settle there because the vegetation of the trees accumulates there. Slabs in the pool are broken and dangerous. 2 washing machines available for all holidaymakers but as one of the 2 is broken down, it clogs up when the weather is nice. Anyway the clothes dryers in every apartment are so dirty that we hesitate to hang anything on them. Same for garden furniture. Clean well before settling down.
Too bad because the holiday village (very poorly indicated when you arrive on the island) is rather pleasant and welcoming. Very quiet and without any noise at night since cars must be parked on a large parking lot at the entrance... in principle.
Brief first Azureva experience very very disappointing which will surely be the last for us.

The positive points: the location because it is close to the beach, cycle paths. It's very nice.
The negative points: small rooms and bathroom really in its original state. Hot water came after 5 minutes because it was opposite the water inlet.
Minimal entertainment and lack of people to manage the employees. Too bad because there is potential.
The cuisine is really industrial, you had to come early to get what you want. You always had to ask, lack of initiative from the staff!
The swimming pool is good but lacks security in terms of a ladder and a guardrail.
Extremely disappointed because having been to the Azureva club in Ronce les Bains with Christophe as head of entertainment who is at the top of the best... it was a cold shower for this holiday club!!

The accommodations aren't incredible but it's okay...
The team as a whole needs to be managed. They are indeed very friendly but swim in the pool at the same time as the customers. They consume drinks and pancakes at the hut in front of all the vacationers.
The huge downside is undoubtedly the catering.
Nothing is homemade... just prepared and reheated dishes. All this distributed in small quantities, leading to an endless queue.
Starters all with mayonnaise sauce which do not vary from week to week.
The only fresh products are those from the salad bar, the quantity of which is insufficient.
Customers or ECs pay fortunes for an all-inclusive package that is absolutely not up to par.
Azure will question yourself because it is the assured buyout or filing for bankruptcy.

The place is magnificent
The reception staff are friendly but not everyone knows the area so it is difficult to advise holidaymakers
The big downside is the entertainment team and the catering
The staff seems to be on vacation! They pass us by to eat, swim in the pool and eat pancakes at the straw hut while the only waitress can't cope! Everyone looks at her without helping
These young people lack initiative and management
What does management do??? We don't see them
When the restaurant opens we queue and when it’s our turn there’s nothing left to eat! Complicated with young children
It’s a shame because the village is large and magnificent!

We spent a great week of vacation with family and friends at the holiday village on the island of Oléron. The accommodation is comfortable and clean. As indicated, it is not suitable for half board (no kitchen or table). It is located in the middle of a pine forest in a very pleasant setting. The indoor swimming pool is well heated and clean. Regarding the reception, the staff is available and friendly. As for the food, it is very good and varied. The children's club was also very popular. We had the privilege of being greeted on our arrival by the new manager, a very friendly person who does everything necessary to satisfy customers and improve the image of the holiday village. The staff was also renewed. Despite some ongoing adaptations linked to youth and staff training, everything was done to ensure that we had a pleasant stay.

We had a pleasant stay in this holiday village. The staff are adorable and attentive, from the welcome to the entertainment, the bar and the restaurant. The accommodations are very good and clean, currently being renovated, very quiet. No noise at night which is very relaxing. A big thank you also to the director for his kindness and who is very present with his teams. The residence is very well located, we managed to visit the island of Oleron from north to south and from east to west.

A pretty and welcoming holiday village on the outside, but when you walk through the door of the bungalow, it's a cold shower! The room is relatively decent (because renovated) but the bathroom is borderline unsanitary! Moldy joints, broken shower, dilapidated toilets, rusty heaters... I even had to ask for cleaning to be done again because there were hairs in the shower tray. As for the catering, it's not much better, at the "nursery canteen" level: always the same starters, the same canned raw vegetables, and hot dishes in insufficient quantity (at 8 p.m., there are none left).
Fortunately, the entertainment team is there to entertain us a little. Despite their young age, they do what they can with the little means they have!
Special mention to Solimane who, thanks to his humor, his kindness and his kindness, allowed us to forget all the negative points of our stay! His aperitif games were truly a moment of relaxation and conviviality that the children didn't want to miss for anything in the world!!
The 5 Montpellier residents will not forget you Solimane!!!

Cordialement
