Detailed Reviews
This hotel is in a pretty decent location, there's a beach within easy reach and walking into the centre is also a doddle. The room was big with an extra bed above the bathroom. The terrace was small but functional as we didn't really use it for sunbathing. The room is clean, tidy and functional although it feels a touch outdated, this isn't a problem for us though. The pool area is pretty good, there were always enough chairs and parasols for all the guests. We opted for a breakfast on one of the days, there was plenty of food to choose from and of good quality.
This hotel also offers parking which is very helpful in this area.

This is my second stay in this ideally located establishment, both close to the charming little port of La Cotinière (which can be reached in less than 15’ walk) and at the same time set back enough to be really quiet. Everything here contributes to a successful stay: pleasant heated pool, impeccable cleanliness, rich and varied Breakfast, comfortable rooms each with a small garden. Only regrets: the small size of the car park from which it is difficult to get out – and where, in high season, we may not find a place! – and also the smallness of the Breakfast Room (it can happen – albeit rarely – that we have to wait long minutes before a place becomes available!)... A special mention for the friendliness and efficiency of the Pension Manager who literally knows how to “go out of his way” to make the stay a success.

We stayed for the 3rd time in this hotel which we have seen improve and evolve over the years. A perfect welcome with very good advice and good gastronomic addresses. The room overlooking the pretty garden, with a private terrace, is very pleasant. Perfect bedding and equipment, very clean and functional bathroom.
Breakfast is taken in a pleasant setting, the choices are varied, there is something for everyone!
A very appreciated short stay, an address to keep and recommend.

Hello,
In February 2024, we booked and paid 1498€ via Booking.com for 3 rooms, for a stay scheduled from 19 to 22 August 2024. On the evening of August 16, I received an email from Booking.com informing me that the hotelier had cancelled our Reservation due to overbooking.
Worried, I immediately contacted the hotelier, who explained that it was an error on Booking.com's part. Unfortunately, we were forced to cancel our holiday as there was no availability elsewhere on that date.
This experience seriously challenges Booking.com’s business model. We are deeply disappointed. Who's the liar?

We stayed here in June and I put a favourable review on the hotel website, saying how clean and friendly we had found our brief stopover, and mentioned the nice pool and room. However, when asked if there was anything I disliked, I wrote, politely, that we had been unable to make the aircon work and there was no one on reception to ask for help. Like many others I also pointed out that there wasn't enough parking.
Well! The owner's response left me shocked by it's aggressive tone, suggesting that "people like me" were out to ruin his business, that we should stay at the Novotel and pay twice as much in future....and so on.
We had been intending to return for a longer stay, but needless to say, won't be returning now.
Having looked at his responses to others who dared make any negative comment I suggest that it is a lovely little basic hotel, so long as you say that it is quite perfect!

Very nice owners, so helpful and friendly... had a great nights' sleep and all the rooms have a pretty little terrace area for relaxing outdoors. Plus a good breakfast in a room leading out to a beautiful garden. The parking was free and it is close to the town and the beach at La Cotiniere.
Hope to go back one day!

We had a very nice stay here. We had a family room which was great because it had a kitchenette as well as 4 beds. The ones in the roof are very low mind. The beds were comfy and the linen very good and clean. The bathroom was a bit small but it was fine. We didn't go on holiday for bathrooms and since it was a short stay it didn't matter at all. You can hear the sea when you are lying in bed. Its lovely.

Had a night's stay at this lovely little hotel. Extremely clean, good size room, good location near restaurants and also a stones throw from the beach. We took our dog and that was no problem. Very friendly welcome. Good value for money.

We have been to this hotel three times over the last four years, ensuite rooms with balcony with an unrestricted view over the bay. The food and service at the hotel is very good although it's difficult getting exactly what you want if you're a vegetarian as my wife is. Parking is a short walk away with code acess and free. The local area is very quiet with only a few bars and eateries. There are two beaches and I've never seen them close to being full so plenty of room for families. The local area is within easy reach by car with many small ports enroute to Quiberon which is the busiest town locally. We will be returning again for another relaxing stress free break.
