Delightful B&B in beautiful Pyrenees Orientales. Excellent value. Delightful hosts. Fabulous drives over the Pyrenees and great walking. Good location in Prades. Parking. Lots of nice places to visit and to eat at.

We had a lovely one night's stay in Castell Rose. Rooms are basic but spacious and perfectly comfortable. The grounds are beautiful - gardens, a pool, plenty of activities for kids & adults alike (trampoline, ping pong, badminton...). The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful, breakfast was delicious. The surrounding area is full of things to do and Prades itself...

A nice mansion with a tower and a loggia, well furnished, with a landscaped garden opening towards the Canigou. Helpful owners and good breakfasts. The pool is large and pefect for swimming or hanging by. HIghly recommended for discovering beautiful Rousillon, the Pyrénées, Roman Churches and Abbeys

We have stayed at this property for two years following, and it remains an exceptional place. The owners are consummate hosts and, whether you are enjoying the excellent breakfasts in the B&B, or staying in one of the gites, the whole place exudes style and quality. You can relax or be active (pool, tennis, trampoline and other sports) in the...

Spent a week here end of September, it was wonderful! VERY comfortable, elegant but not too much, well cared for garden & surroundings, extremely comfortable beds with great furniture which fit the style of the house, everything was just perfect. An above-average B & B, very special, friendly hosts, delicious & generous breakfasts, See their website, this is a place...

Set in grounds of a little over 2 hectares, overlooked by nearby Mnt. Canigou, Castell Rose is an exquisite location for a Pyrenean holiday. My wife and I were in B&B accommodation in the main Mediterranean-style Villa, but our daughter and grandchildren were in one of the four self-catering gites, within the grounds. Evelyne and Eric were excellent hosts and...

We booked a room at Castell Rose in Prades, a town that I had never heard of. We crossed the Pyrenees on a beautiful sunny day then settled in for two nights. The room was clean but a bit dated. The views--from the room, the balcony, the dining room, etc.--were wonderful. Alex and Evelyn are pleasant and helpful. They got...

On our journey through Roussillon in October 2013 we spent 2 nights at Castell Rose. It turned out to be one of the most memorable quarters of our trip, not only because of its accommodation and setting, but also due to the kindness and warmth of the owners, Evelyne and Alex. Thanks to their advice and guidance we were able...

We stayed three nights here, and were marginally disappointed. It looks great on the web site, but in reality is a little down at heel and in need of a refurbish. The grounds too. Also our welcome was not brilliant - we were told we were three quarters of an hour early - why? So overall a bit shabby and...
