I stayed in Sanotel in the end of June 2015, which is quite off season, as part of a group. The hotel is located near a narrow road, so transportation to the hotel must be scheduled wisely to avoid driving maneuvers. The rooms in the hotel are quite big with the sound of the waterfall penetrating every inch of the... More

Great hotel experience for 4 of us skiing. The meals in the evening were tasty and well presented, usually a choice of 3 dishes (meat, fish & veggie). Plenty of choice at breakfast. The rooms were excellent - spacious with en-suite bathroom including a bath. Far better than we have experienced in alpine hotels and chalets in the past. The... More

I stayed in this hotel with my husband and eight-year-old son for a week during February half-term this year (2015), The hotel is not in a bad spot; right next to the waterfall and within walking distance of the town. You can walk to the gondola if you like (about 15 minutes' walk) but it's a bit of an arduous... More

We have just come back from a week's skiing in Bad Gastein and stayed in the hotel Sanotel which was near the waterfall. The staff here were lovely and you could not fault the service (or the spa facilities). The food was definitely a little hit and miss at times but no more so than anywhere else. Some nights were... Lovely hotel with friendly staff, food great, bedrooms a bit dated but bed big and comfortable with a large bath and plenty of hot water. Minibus to gondola works well and is a godsend as it's quite a hike!

I've just returned after a weeks stay at the residenz / Sanotel, our annual lads ski week, which this year numbered 4 of us. On arrival our room was a little on the small side for 4 grown men, a bedroom with Austrian twin bed and a pull out sofa bed in the living area. Not a problem though, after speaking... More

Just returned from a week at the sanotel with 3 friends, we stayed in the annex which is less than a 2 min walk away from the main building , the room we were given meant that 2 adult males would have to share a small double fold out couch so when we asked if there were any other rooms... More

We had a room in the Residenz,100m from the main hotel. It was large & comfortable. The service at the hotel is fantastic; they really do bend over backwards to help you. The food was lovely; a 5 course dinner with a huge range at breakfast, both cooked & continental. They arrange free shuttles to the ski lifts & there... More
