Like so many reviewers, we are working our way through the Ski Miquel inventory and Chalet-Hotel Tannenburg is right up there. The resort has plenty of red run skiing and with Dave & Josh guiding us for the week, we covered every inch of them with ease. For the first time, our kids skied in the group with us all...

A SkiMiquel specific chalet that provides more than adequate quarters for skiers and visitors to Bad Gastein alike. Meals are basic but sufficient, wine is plentiful at dinner but house-wine standard only. Rooms are ok although somewhat dated but hot water supply is very good - a rare event. Lounge is nice and spacious and dining room is well laid...

On first impressions, the Tannenburg is a little dated and the rooms could have been cleaner. Once you see past that and meet the chalet staff, you soon forget about this and enjoy the chalet. The chefs Grant and Harry provided fantastic meals every evening. The food was served quickly and always hot. As far as chalets go, this is...

Great Chalet - cosy, warm, inviting, clean, good location. Great food - hearty, plentiful home cooking. Great staff - Dave & Josh went over and above to provide an excellent guiding service in tricky weather conditions. Ali & Alex excellent in house service. Grant & Harry fab 4 course meal with wine every night - also loved the breakfast, afternoon...

Great week: good food, good company, fantastic chalet staff. All been said before, really! Especially liked the way Dave found some powder (well a bit tracked, but not bad) and the port after dinner! Warm, comfortable, well fed: what else can I say?

Just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed our stay in Ski Miquel's Tannenburg Hotel. The food was excellent and it was good to have chalet wine from Austria! The staff were all excellent and friendly. A special thanks to Dave the resort manger for his ski guiding for the week and excellent choice of restaurants on the...

Food was excellent and Grant ensured there was something different every night! They all added to the best week's skiing in an unspoilt Austrian town! Thank you all, regards Andy

If you've read the review from bcict2 there's not much more to be said. The Tannenburg is close to bars (and restaurants for the staff's day off). We were advised to use the ski depot near the main gondola to store our skis and boots. Although the walk from the Tannenburg to the lift is only about 5 minutes the...

Just back from a great skiing holiday with Ski Miquel. We have used this company before and it provides a good service. Food is very good (3 course meal) and not far short of restaurant standard most nights. This Chalet has a reasonable sized boot room and ski locker and a small cosy bar. The building is old but very...

Those who have skied with Ski Miquel know exactly how the formula works in all their resorts. For me, it's all about the companionship, quality of ski-guiding, helpfulness of staff and, frankly, inspired chioce of resorts which come as close to a snow guarantee on uncrowded slopes as it's possible to get. Bad Gastein is a resort little-frequented by the...
