The 100-year-old Hotel Dario oozes tropical Colonial charm. A beautifully-planted courtyard makes you want to put on a seersucker suit, don a Panama hat and sit down to write a novel. A second smaller courtyard with a pool is the perfect place to sit and enjoy a cigar and a glass of Flor de Cana. It's centrally-located in Grenada, near...

We landed in Managua and drove directly here. The hotel was cool, Spanish style and relaxing. It was a Saturday night and the city was jumping especially the street the hotel fronts where the best people watching was to be had. It is right in the center of things. This is a great hotel in Granada. I booked this hotel online and the hotel staff were very prompt in responding to my emails. When I arrived in Granada, the room with two double beds at the back of the hotel that I had requested was waiting for me. This hotel has a nice interior courtyard with a fountain and...

We had a delightful buffet lunch with squash stew, platanos done two ways, a chicken and a beef dish, rice, and cassava. We had a kind of rice pudding for dessert. It really was fun; the servers were all delightful and very helpful.
