Our experience was less than positive and we have no idea why this place is rated so highly. As a treat to ourselves we stayed here on our way back through Granada thinking that by paying nearly double the price of the B&B we stayed in on our first time through town we would have a worthy experience. We were...

We were in Granada in Nov, 2011 and had the most wonderful experience at the Hotel Patio del Malinche. Excellent customer service, friendly, helpful and very accommodating. They handled our taxi from the airport in Managua to Granada, we arrived late at night, thirsty and hot, tired and excited. They allowed us to have a swim in the pool even...

We stayed here three nights and loved it. The hotel is very beautiful and in the spirit of Nicaragua. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The owners were wonderful and obviously tried very hard to give the customers the best experience. The rooms were exceptionaly clean and comfortable. The location is perfect. I can't believe there is a better...

We just returned from a 9 day trip to Nicaragua. We stayed 3 nights at Patio del Malinche and found it fit us just perfectly. Very clean and comfortable with beautiful gardens, a great breakfast and simply lovely accommodating staff. My husband needed to keep some medication refrigerated and staff member Luis was so helpful to him, providing refrigeration and...

We stayed in Granada at the Patio Del Malinche for 2 nights. We chose this hotel because of the great reviews here and we were not disappointed. The great: - Customer service has been written about here and everyone is right on. All my questions were answered promptly via email before we booked - had a lot of great info...

Just a note to say that Hotel Patio del Malinche was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and very clean - great pillows for a Nicaraguan hotel. The breakfast that is included in the stay was delicious. Super fresh fruit (and a lot of it) and good strong coffee...or eggs if you prefer. The location...

During our stay in Nicaragua, this was the best hotel. Location in a quiet street, close to the centre (400 m.) What you see is what you get. Everything is functioning, airco, hot water, good waterpresure, a safe, television. Personel is kind. Everything is clean. Soft background muziek (easy listening) near the swimmingpool and bar. Good luck Lidia!

The hotel is in a very beautifully restored colonial house. It is located east of the cathedral, a block away from the "Calzada", where the action is, and "El Zaguan", an outstanding restaurant. There's a private parking right around the corner, this was very convenient for securing our SUV. Granada and the vicinity has so much to offer: Masaya volcano...

This was my second stay at this place and I look forward to many returns. The hotel is a few blocks from the town square but well worth the walk for the nice clean rooms, great pool/courtyard area, and wonderfully amazing service from the owners and their fine staff. You get a great breakfast each morning and their pricing is...

My wife & I chose this hotel for our first two nights in Nicaragua, before we began a week-long Spanish course & homestay with Nicaragua Mia, just down the street. Patio del Malinche is a lovely little hotel, with small, but very clean & functional rooms, spacious lobby seating, refreshing pool & a good breakfast. The real attraction is the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
More than a place in the world, a house is a place in one's heart. El Patio del Malinche is more than just another hotel, it's a dream come true. Our interest to live in a different culture and to get to know new horizons took us to the ancient town of Granada. The sun-dried bricks of Granada's old walls and the hospitality of its people bewitched us. By restoring an old colonial house we relived a life of peace and serenity created by its inside patios full of history. We hope our guests will be able to revive and share with us the atmosphere of other times. We will be delighted to share our house, where life pours from every corner. ... more   less
