Patio del Malinche is a wonderful little gem in a beautiful city. It is perfectly located: close to the center and parallel to "La Calzada" and at the same time not exposed to the sound of the Latin night life. It has a lovely patio with a well-kept garden and a little plunge pool to cool down after or during...

yes as said before room was quite small but for 2 nights it was fine, the hotel was deceiving from the outside it looked small but once you entered it went way back into a lovely courtyard with a bar and small pool area. Nice breakfast too, very friendly staff.

Our room is quite small but so practical that we don't need more. There is enough space for the luggage, a small dressing, small table, many hooks to hang up towels, clothes, jackets, etc. No decoration except a drawing on the wall: so relaxing. For breakfast you have the choice between 4 menus, all tasteful. The service is great, they...

I stayed at several hotels in Granada in 2013 and Patio del Maliche was my favorite. I returned last week with several friends and it still fantastic. Cute rooms with great air conditioning, very tasty breakfasts included, and a cool little pool with a bar for relaxing, plus a ton of charm. All my friends thought it was the best...

We booked this hotel off of a blogger's review and it did not disappoint! We were on a first floor room right in front of the pool which provided welcome relief from the heat of Granada. The room was plain but comfortable and suitable to our daily excursions. The air conditioning cooled it quickly each afternoon when we returned. The...

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location is great. It is right in the middle of Granada, so you can walk everywhere. One of the nicest features of the hotel is its colonial courtyard. It is an excellent place to enjoy breakfast or a coffee. The rooms were very clean, but the decor in the rooms was too...

My husband and I had 4 wonderful nights here at the Patio whilst exploring Granada and all the interesting places around it. The hotel grounds with the inner courtyards were just beautiful, especially with a pool and a poolside bar and also breakfast served in the first courtyard. Luis our barman always looked after us with happy hour and then...

My daughter and I stayed 4 nights at Hotel Patio del Malinche. It's a converted colonial home with a lovely central garden, tastefully decorated grounds and quiet rooms. There's a small pool too, perfect for cooling off after a long day exploring the many attractions nearby. The hotel is a short walk to numerous restaurants, a lively pedestrian zone and...

We found this hotel just by walking. Location is great, one street from the famous La Calzada where all the tourists and expats stay all night long. Yet, this hotel is very quiet and if you are looking for a good night sleep - this is the place to be. We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms, spacious,...

We began a two week vacation in Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama at this hotel. The rooms are set back from the Street separated by the hotel lobby and first courtyard. The staff is friendly and gave us great advice about where to go in Granada to explore the city and eat. The rooms are basic but comfortable and a...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
More than a place in the world, a house is a place in one's heart. El Patio del Malinche is more than just another hotel, it's a dream come true. Our interest to live in a different culture and to get to know new horizons took us to the ancient town of Granada. The sun-dried bricks of Granada's old walls and the hospitality of its people bewitched us. By restoring an old colonial house we relived a life of peace and serenity created by its inside patios full of history. We hope our guests will be able to revive and share with us the atmosphere of other times. We will be delighted to share our house, where life pours from every corner. ... more   less
