We came here due to the recommendation of our Lonely Planet guidebook, but I really wonder why LP would recommend such a place. On the upside there is free coffee and wifi. You only pay 5$ for a dorm bed, but after one night you might come to the conclusion that even that price is too high. You might as...

Stayed one night mostly for the shuttle to Poste Rojo. Sprung for a private room since it's cheap. You get what you pay for. Maybe not the cleanest, but it's still a bed, toilet and shower at a cheap price point.

It’s a basic hostel, cheap price as well as the other hostels in the area a great location in the center of the city nearby all the beautiful cathedrals of Grenada nice dorms with a big ceiling fan, small kitchen, many hammocks and a few animals in the garden (rabbits , turtles ) there is no hot water and some...

This place is horrible. We checked in, Payed for the night and once we were about to settle in for the night, one of our friends was getting bitten by something. We inspected the beds and they were FULL of Bed Bugs and blood marks. We packed up our bags and told the young guy at reception, We told him...

The staff here was amazingly accommodating. They answered all my questions and never got annoyed with my requests. I will say that I didn't like the top bunk because the ladder was narrow and hard to climb, but it was fairly comfortable otherwise. It was only $5 a night with good wifi and a nice vibe. There's a lovely courtyard...

This isn't a good hostel. There's a leak in the roof of dorm #2 which means your stuff (or you) get wet during rainy season. The place in general is dilapidated with no locks on some of the bathrooms, overflowing refuse bins by the toilets and a small, dank kitchen. Contrary to what is said elsewhere, there's no bar either....

Spend 3 nights here. Staff was pretty friendly and knew a lot about the busses around town, however I can imagine they don't look that interested. Beds were clean the first day but a fresh sheet of linen every day would make it a lot better (the temperature was always high so you can imagine what my bed was like...

Lonely Planet's "backpackers first choice". Do they consider backpackers as dirty losers who do anything just to "joint" and hang around? This place is prison-style without any atmosphere of the town. Small room without bathroom and lack of privacy was for 15$. Just 200m from there is for example beautiful clean hostel with real local owner that tries her best...

I stayed here as my partner was in the adjoining hospital. But apart from that this is an extremely well appointed hotel which is fully deserving of its four star rating. The room was very spacious and the bed comfortable. There was free Wi Fi and internet , TV etc available via an iMac in the room . The staff...

I think Lonley Planet needs to update it's review of this place. It's dark and grungy and not in an adventurous sort of way. We stayed one night in a private double with a shared bathroom. I'm down with the hostel vibe but wish I would have paid $5 more a night and stayed at Oasis Hostel. You won't die...
