Great hostal. Laid back, clean, friendly people and beautiful common area with plants and rabbits. Free wifi and great water pressure for shower. If u want to do a tour ask for mauricio he is the best. Very professional, entertaining, and knowledgeable about the area.

This is the highest rated hostel in Granada and is recommended in all the guide books. The courtyard has a relaxed, Spanish feel about it, as does the rest of Granada which is very similar to Seville, Spain. It nice enough as a place to put your bags down, relax in the hammocks and explore Granada on foot. But it...

We stayed in one of the spacious doubles that left a bit to be desired however for the price was adequate .Theres a lovely courtyard through the reception with interesting hammocks . the staff were real friendly too. Probably not for everyone but a hostel with character.

Stayed here for a couple nights with friends I met traveling. The bunk area was HOT. Extremely hot. The showers and sinks were located in the back. They were moderately clean. My mattress (top bunk) started to slip down and I started to fall into the bunk below in the middle of the night. It was slightly absurd, I had...

Budget hostel with a lot of flaws. Hot rooms, broken facilities everywhere, poor internet, staff is loud in the early morning and evening with bar music, light from the common space lit up the dorm making it hard to sleep. Overall it does not deserve to be in a guidebook, there are better places to stay in Granada that also...

Horrible hostel, dirty, very unfriendly staff, digusting bathrooms. Allot of drunks and addicts staying here, whom fell asleep in the common area or who gave allot of inconvenience. The common area was very dirty and never cleaned. We left after one day.

Ye the rooms are cheap, it's very chilled out and it has an alright courtyard, but as far as I can tell so do most places in Grenada. We did the island tour, as recommended by other travellers and it was a total rip off! $20 for a glorified boat journey, the owners son was our your guide. While he...

I stayed one night and am in agony right now. Was eaten alive by bedbugs! It's completely ruined my trip. I came here from lp guide. It's description couldn't be further from the truth. There were much better hostels around town and I'm so upset I came here just to be bitten with 60+ welts all over my body!

The Bearded Monkey is a hostel with a lot of potential, that totally isn't used. I know a visit is just one moment, but the hostel is in need of a lot of repairs, new beds and new cleaning staff. We had a double room, which was build around the bed. There was hardly any space to put the backpacks....
