Coming directly from the Managua airport, the San Francisco (booked on-line via Expedia) was better than we expected, although well-written up in the Lonely Planet. Perfect service from English-speaking Tica desk staff in a large lobby where a welcome drink was served from the small but stocked bar. Great rooms, adjacent to a lush courtyard with a number of 'hidden'...

I stayed at Casa San Francisco for 3 nights with my mother when we visited Granda in April. The location was perfect, quiet but so close to the center of town. The hotel was lovely, and I appreciated the personal touch that went into the decor of our room. The staff was wonderful. They spoke very good English, and were...

We only stayed one night but we enjoyed every minute of our stay. All the staff were so friendly. Clean room with simple decor. Great FREE breakfast! Great location that is not exactly in the center but a stone throw away. We will be back!

A beautiful, well-kept hotel in a lovely city. Our room overlooked the pool, and was spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were excellent, next to a courtyard with a fountain and garden. The staff worked hard to make sure that all was well, including arranging tours and transportation. The location was great - right next to the convent museum and within walking...

We stayed here during our four days in the Granada area of Nicaragua. The hotel is very clean with a friendly and accommodating staff. The location is perfect. It is just a few minutes walk to the busy main street but just far enough away to provide a good nights sleep away from the noise of the main street. Staff...

Our family of 4 stayed for 3 nights in a family room. While the room was small, we were very comfortable, sleeping with the a/c on a night. There was plenty of hot water and the beds were very comfortable. The Wi-Fi was also strong. The pool is tiny but a lovely place to cool off. And what a beautiful...

We had the pleasure of finding and staying in this lovely place in Granada. It was so great to go into a little oasis of greenery and flowers, clean rooms, nice bathrooms with warm personal touches. (magnifying mirror in the bathroom!) The rooms come with extraordinarily good breakfasts - lots of choice and really fresh. We were really lucky to...

We spent our first two nights in Nicaragua at Casa San Francisco and two weeks later we chose to spend our last night there before flying home. By that time it felt like a home away from home. Everyone was very warm and welcoming, the hotel was cozy, beautiful and comfortable. It was in a great location for exploring the...
