Overall this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. We were in a "Deluxe" room and it was gorgeous. The hotel has an interesting story. The grounds are beautiful and the pool area is terrific. The free breakfast is very good. It is centrally located to the other attractions in town and an easy walk. Our friends were...

After being sick for a few days in the Granada heat I needed a spa day. So I booked a facial, a massage and a mani-pedi here. They were spaced out through the day which was fine because you get pool access. It is a lovely pool area and you can order food from the bar. It was such a...

This review is for access to Mansion de Chocolate's pool area, which is available to visitors for US$6. For that, you only receive access to the pool - no towel or any other kind of amenity. The pool itself is nice enough - surrounded by greenery and with interesting wildlife like lizards, ducks and a white rabbit that appeared out...

Mansion de Chocolate is a marvelous setting to relax and enjoy yourself. It touts itself as the largest former mansion in Granada- a former Nicaraguan president lived there- and it boasts two interior courtyards. One is huge, the other smaller and just as beautiful. Beyond those are the pool and lounge area. Adjacent to that is a spa, Spa Chocolate,...

We had one of the more expensive rooms and were fully happy with it. It was clean, the bed was comfortable. Ok, we had a bat sometimes flying through the room and a very loud dove on the roof (only making noise at day time, fortunately), however, it is an old building and this is part of the charme. The...

The hotel location is super convenient and walkable around the historical town of Granada. They also provide private parking which is an important thing. The icing if the cake is that you will enjoy a trulls chocolate experience since they also offer choco tours, choco therapies and beauty treatments and full choco buffet for breakfast. Indiana and Melissa were really...

So much fun and informative and delicious! We did this with our teens and we all loved the experience. Ishmael, our tour guide and teacher, was a hoot and so energetic and delightful. Our homemade chocolate bars were unbelieveable.

The hotel is located in a historic mansion, which means existing spaces had to be converted into guest rooms, public areas, storage spaces, etc. This adds to the overall charm of the hotel, but also leads to vastly different room quality, depending on where your room is located. We were assigned one of the rooms in the notorious (based on other...

What a beautiful and peaceful hotel in the center of Granada ! The largest colonial mansion in the city if beautiful and full of history. We got to meet Tony who works there and is the nicest and most helpful concierge. Impeccable room, amazing decor and a lovely pool and garden. We warmly recommend this hotel in Granada.

We studied Spanish at a school in this hotel which offered a special rate. Our room was one of the smaller ones overlooking the quiet second courtyard. The ventilation in the room was not as good as the more spacious rooms that open to both balconies. There was an outside space on the balcony with chairs where we could enjoy...

Mansion De Chocolate is located in the center of Granada and is housed in the largest intact surviving colonial mansion of Granada. It comprises five courtyard gardens, each with its own distinctive flavor. Decorated with edgy modern furnishings, Mansion De Chocolate has the feeling of a hip modern hotel in an authentic colonial setting, creating a unique blending of the modern and the traditional. Always benefiting from the breezes from Lake Cocibolca, the large shared balconies provide an ideal vantage point from which to watch the glorious Nicaraguan sunsets. You'll enjoy refreshing yourself in the hotel's 60 foot swimming pool in a flowery patio with bar and relaxing in our ChocoSpa, where we offer treatments based on cacao and chocolate.
