I had been meaning to renew my Costa Rican visa, and friends from Canada told me they were planning to visit Granada, Nicaragua, and asked if I would join them. It was perfect timing, and Tica Bus from San Jose got me to Granada in 9 air conditioned hours. The hotel was easy to find, on one of the side... More

We went with a tour group out of Costa Rica. This place was a gorgeous find, tucked back into the walls of Granada. The desk staff was very friendly and the hotel's architecture was beautiful and unique. The bathrooms left a little to be desired, but the rooms were comfortable with fun views. The food was also delicious! I would... More

This place is down the "walking street" just a ways, and it's OK. It was $15/night for a private room/bath in Nov. 2011, but to be honest, your money is better spent at the Oasis. The service here was a bit slow, though the shared kitchen is a nice touch.

This is 2nd time at Cocibolca (1st was in 2008) and both times it has been a pleasure. Owner, Don Carlos, is pleasant man, speaks English and runs a good hotel. Rates are a very good value, breakfasts are good and staff is friendly. Free use of computer in lobby, a/c, cable TV and hot water in our room, which... More

After checking out four other hotels in Granada we decided to spend three nights at the Hotel Cocibolca because it was hands down the best value for the amenities that they offered. We paid $45/night for a double which included free wireless, cable tv, breakfast, ac, and a pool. The rooms were small and basic, but the matresses were all... More

Can't really tell what this hotel is like, We were in Granada the end of January, and went personally to the hotel to make a reservation for our last 3 days (4 weeks ahead). Manager wrote it down. When we arrived from Leon to the hotel on the date reserved, they had no rooms for us. Thanks heaps!

We stayed in the hotel on two occassions - the first time for 3 nights and the second time for 1 night. The hotel is centrally located and has a lovely courtyard. It also has a small swimming pool at the back - however there are not really any chairs / sunlougers to relax on. The hotel has a lovely... More
