Simple, basic but very clean beach bungalows. Clean bedding and towels every day. 2 free bottles of water. Adequate shower. Small porch at front. The bungalow I stayed in was overlooking the garden area. You could hear the water lapping up on the sand. Bar hut and restaurant on site. 5 minute walk to bars, massage, 7/11 etc. Excellent location.

The location is great but that's all. Bungalow ok but it's bathroom is under average. Smell comes back from the toilette, no circulation of air, the whole room is closed. There is not one shelf to put your things on, not even a toothbrush or a soap. Incredible! But beside this they cleaned the room every day that's a nice thing. There is karaoke from Thursday for huge local groups which is quite impolite with hotel guests, it is extremely loud. The good thing is that they finish at 22h 😊 next day we could hardly have breakfast since they were only taking care of the big local group. Oh yes, breakfast. We liked it, nothing special but at least they offer you a small buffet with local and continental food. It is always hard to find out where you get sick, but 5 out of 7 people (including children) became terribly sick on our last day (vomiting, diarrhea, fever). It may be from the food market, but our children didn't eat there, the only place we ate the same thing was the breakfast....so we'll never know. Overall don't except too much for this price (we paid 1300 baht/bungalow). It isn't that cheap, in my opinion the whole island is overpriced, but compered to other accommodation prices on the island it is quite affordable.

I really like this resort, my bungalow had been freshly decorated though so I was well pleased and it was one which was attached to the reception overlooking the front. It was spotlessly clean, and I could hear the waves lapping up in the morning. The towels smelt lovely, and were changed daily. Breakfast was nice, a reasonable choice of fruit, eggs, pancakes, thai dishes, toast etc with as much tea and coffee you want. So it was lovely sitting out into the sea and watching the snorkelers and fish. The beach is small and somepeople sunbathed on the grassy areas in front of the bungalows, the sea was beautifully clean and we swam every day and early evening. A very nice gentle resort.

Have stayed at Magic Resort twice how it's a no frills beach front resort in a quiet bay with friendly staff. Try the triple room if you can it has a great 5 person bed. They have restaurant on site or you can walk down the road to a full range of local and western foods.

We stayed one night at the Magic Resort on March 14, 2015. The location of the hotel is on the beach. The water on the beach was clear. We took a speed boat to an island nearby for snorkeling. The staff was friendly. The room was clean. The bathroom was OK. It is not near the center of Koh Chang.
