Once getting over the shock of going back to basics I fell in love with this place and the area. The huts were great although I would advise you pay for an outer ring hut to benefit from the fantastic sun sets. The rooms have an outside shower and toilet but once you get over that you will just settle...

We loved Bang Bao - we only ended up here by accident as we couldn't get our flights to Krabi due to the airport protests. We got the last ferry to Ko Chang with all the backpackers. Whilst they were all getting dropped off at various noisy streets on the way down the coast, we were the final stop at...

We stayed here for the first week of a 3 month trip. Although you should not expect luxuary, the huts are large, clean and comfortable with the most amazing sea views. Pay extra to have an outer ring bungalow, def worth it. This was probably the best value accomodation of our trip and probably the most memorable too. Stay here!

We stayed at the Bang Bao Sea Huts for four nights, in early November. The rooms are clean, smart and cover all the essentials. The service and attention from the operators was great, without being intrusive. Although some minor building works were underway (in preparation of the high season), these were done with little disruption to the guests. Highly recommended....

I had my reservations about staying at the Bang Bao Sea Huts after reading several reviews, although mostly positve. I knew that I wanted to stay in a place like the Bang Bao Sea Huts just from looking at the pictures. However, upon arrival, my fears were quickly resolved. The hotel looked exactly like the pictures on the internet. The...

My boyfriend and I stayed at Bang Bao Sea Huts for 2 nights and were SO impressed. We travelled around Thailand for a month and this was by far our favourite place. Everything about it was perfect- it's located in a beautiful fishing village full of lovely seafood restaurants and beautiful beaches. The staff were so helpful and friendly, we...

Bang Bao Seahut was awesome!!! I stayed here with my boyfriend for 5 nights. We were spending 6 weeks in the islands and particularly liked this place because it is so different to anywhere else we stayed. We paid £2,000 baht a night including cooked breakfast (u just name the time and they bring it to your door!). The huts...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
You don’t have to be in the Caribbean to experience a Maldives-like vacation. The bungalows at Koh Chang Sea Hut stand on wooden stilts directly above the water, giving you that feeling of a seaside lifestyle. Feel the soothing breeze with a rustic ambiance while enjoying the occasional sights of fishes under your feet. Keep yourself occupied with a wide range of activities such as kayaking, fishing and mountain biking. The resort is located at the southern tip of the island, giving it the advantage of being the jump-off point to snorkeling and diving trips at nearby islands. The sea under your feet, the charming mountain watching over, a cool gentle wind, and the most spectacular sunset view on the island – the right combination for a romantic getaway. ... more   less

“The main building rooms are bigger but walls are only out of wood and you might get to hear the neighbors TV. Bungalows are smaller but freestanding.”

“We stayed in Bungalo 3. This was the middle of the three bungalos that face directly west. These three are the best to stay in because 1. they have the best sunset views and 2. they have the most privacy and most secluded balconies. the best room is the one next to bungalo 3 at the very end of the pier - complete privacy.”
