The hostel is in great location with amazing views at reasonable price. You can hire a two-wheeler from them to roam around the city. WIFI is provided in rooms and rooftop for WFH scenarios. There is a small hike to the property or you can take stairs which is manageable. They have beautiful wall arts and a TT table as well along with other board and card games. Don't miss out on the live music performance during your stay here.

Amazing place with good food and music, friendly staffs. The food here is very good. Lost count of how many Ice teas I had to keep hydrated. Rooftop cafe is a really chill place to hangout all the time and on some nights we get to listen to live music. The guys here also helped us to plan quick trips to near by destinations and helped with rafting and scooter rentals. Made a lot of friends here. We are definitely only thinking about staying with Bunkstay in the future also. Thanks to BunkStay ❤️

Pros - One of the best views in Rishikesh. They serve good food and the entire team is helpful. They also are accomodating to your special requests such as date change. Proximity to Ram jhula market, Geeta Bhawan, Parmarth Cons - To reach hostel, you have to get down at Ram jhula and get taxi / hitch hike.

Bunk stay Poorest experience Not at all for families Boys and girls as solo or group travelers can stay but still it is overpriced as per the facility Weak points Lack of staff, only one person mr Anil kumar is working and doing his job as a receptionist, door keeper, accountant, room service staff, manager etc He is really good and helpful but may be not possible for him to manage No room service in hotel at all, u have to carry ur luggage by urself No intercom phone facility in delux room also, u have to go to reception every time u have some problem No chairs or water bottles in room, not even glass to drink our own water Cleanliness is very poor as per the price overall in hotel and in rooms Bad foul smells in room, i have cleared it with my perfumes They have written on reception that no smoking and no drinking but actually the hotel is for chilling out for boys and girls with full availability of smoking and many other things may be!!! My only suggestion to hotel owner is don’t provide this hotel/hostel to families and make it a straight forward hostel for boys and girls with no option of delux rooms because I don’t think it can improve it after this many bad reviews written in google or trip adviser.…

Really good view of the ganges from the balcony on private room. Generally decent in cleanliness for both room and attached bathroom. Worth the money for a one night stay as a transit thru rishikesh. Cafe food was decent, tends to take 20 minutes to be prepared though.

It's almost hilarious to receive an invitation to write a review of my stay at BunkStay after what I witnessed in my 2 week stay at BunkStay. I stayed first in the non AC Dorm which was unbearable as it is, then stayed in "deluxe" Non AC room for next 5 days and then the 4 bed AC Dorm for my remaining days there. First of all, you do not get an itemized bill for whatever you eat in the rooftop cafe, anybody can eat in your tab and the staff misbehaves with you if you ask for an itemized bill and passive aggressively threatens to beat you up if you do not pay. I was constantly harassed by the night manager who called me several times at 1am in the morning to demand I come down to the reception and blindly pay up the food bill even though I had extended my stay for another 5 days because he "wanted" to close my booking. Imagine your door getting banged up after 11pm and being demanded you reach the reception because "the night manager said so". Second, more troublesome issue is women safety. I had a daughter like female aquaintaince announce she was in Rishikesh and did not have a booking anywhere so having booked a room to myself with +1 capacity, I offered to give her refuge for the night but the staff not only refused checkin but threatened to lock me out of the hostel premesis in case I went outside to help her find a place and check her in at some neighbouring property. Absolutely no regard for women safety and poor management so scared of the tyrannic rule of the lease owners that they would rather have a girl stand outside the premises than risk breaking their "rules". Third, I returned back to my dorm one fine afternoon after a good early morning walk to the nearby Bhootnath Temple to find all of my stuff helter skelter and missing! On returning the official hostel "volunteer" first claiming he is responsible for the ransacking and looting of my stuff and then threatening to get me beaten up in case I did not leave the premesis on his whims and fancies! Wait- whaaaat!?! Then I get dragged outside the "hostel", accosted and assaulted right outside the sorry in full view of the CCTV camera as the "mafia" volunteer cheers the goon he sent to intimidate me to leave. Eventually, I carried on living in "my dorm" until the next day where the "mafia volunteer" eventually started a fight with one of the hot headed cooking staff at 3am in the morning, the ruckus continuing till 5am and then eventually leaving the property forever at 6am, getting the head cook fired as well after a drunken stupor. I eventually went to the police station with a female guest whose dignity was challenged during the same night in this unsafe, unprofessional madhouse of a "hostel" and returned back with a bunch of policemen who finally shook the so called "management" into humility and seized the CCTV footage of the violent attack on me and got us to safety check out and leave with our stuff without getting harassed and beaten up by the "staff". Drug fuelled, mismanaged hell hole of a hostel. Thank God I made it out with only being overcharged, having just a couple things stolen and just an index finger broken from the violence. Phew! Fear for my life now when the lease owner discovers this review! P.s. this is not a satirical review. Everything is real and can be verified.…
