Detailed Reviews
My room at the front has a balcony and somewhat of a view. It is clean and good, the shower is fine. There is a TV, but no BBC or any foreign channel. There are cheaper rooms at the back, also smaller. There was loud religious music nearby around 3 pm (only).
There are many hotels nearby of the same style, but this one is a good choice.

The good thing of this hotel is that its pretty close to lakshman Jhula and the rooms are pretty neat and clean. The staff is very helpful and they helped us in booking a local sight seeing vehicle at a good price.

If you are thinking about the budget accomodation near lakshman jhula, then this hotel is one of the best. It is very near to the lakshman jhula and taxi stand. Tariff is very reasonable. This hotel has a restaurant which serves all kinds of foods and food is awesome. Although the bathroom was not so good and clean, we can't expect luxuries with the amount they are charging for a room. The hotel staff was so helpful. They have internet facility too. The tented accommodation is always special in rishikesh, but if you want to book a budget hotel, then is one the best option in rishikesh.

My stay at Hotel Divya was really very comfortable ,economic
The room was immaculately clean, clean bedding, spik n span toilets. But , the most important part, the owner ( Mr Aditya, his brother Mr Madhusudan & their father) are very helpful & humble. It's only because of them I could easily get a transport at odd hours. Really greatful.
Highly recommend , this hotel for anyone planning to visit Rishikesh.

Called this hotel tonight to inquire about accommodation as well as prices - not only was I shocked at the insane daily rent (45 THOUSAND Indian rupees!) which is almost 3 times higher than one of the most luxurious, professionally run, immaculate, beautiful, 5 star hotels in Northern India, but at the young sounding boy who answered the phone:
extremely ill-mannered, obviously not educated, very aggressive in demanding to know exact dates I planned to come there (I was shopping around for a GOOD and professionally run hotel only, and needing to gather some information about the place first), and could not seem to comprehend the fact I did not yet have travel dates in mind - immediately after I told him that his rates were even higher than the best 5 star hotel in another state, he slammed the phone down in my ear.
More amenities have been added, and much more demand for hotel rentals in general in Rishikesh has risen over the years due to the annual Yoga Festival, and I am fairly certain that the owner has taken advantage of both facts and increased the rents to what the foriegners will pay.
As for the ignorant, rude character that was managing the phones and front desk today, the crude and argumentative manner with which he handled my few practical and valid questions alerted me to the fact that high prices and little luxuries such as wi-fi in the rooms, etc, can not compensate for the low class way responding to well meaning potential customers
We did stay there some time ago and there was only enough hot water to take a fast 2 or 3 minute shower. Then we had to wait at least 10 minutes for enough hot water to wash our hair. Chilly and not at all convenient. I inquired about this point and again, he got on the defensive and refused me a direct reply, coming up with the cheap excuse that "all the hotels there have 20 to 25 litres of water....!"
Stay away, even if you CAN afford such a ridiculously over the top price - nothing is worth having to deal with that kind of treatment. You can find plenty of other hotels, they are prolific in Rishikesh, the hub of the tourist industry in India, where many a con artist has been created by finding out about the white person's cash flow...........buyer - and renter - beware.

I would just like to start off by saying - THE PHOTOS ON HERE DO NOT REPRESENT THE HOTEL. NOT ONE. You cannot see Laxman Jhula, as there are two hotels in front of this one, and that room is clearly from google images.
At first I was happy to stay here as the reception man seemed nice. I paid 300rs a night for a simple, clean room with an attached bathroom - pretty cheap since it was 'low' season. I was staying on the first floor with a nice Italian lady next door and two other girls sharing a room a few doors down. Our rooms opened onto the same balcony.
However, I soon came to realise that this is a popular hotel with groups of men who travel from nearby cities for a weekend of debauchery in Rishikesh. I was harassed, they were noisy, sitting on my balcony, knocking on my window and doors and I even caught one peering in one evening. My bathroom light broke and I complained to reception but it was never fixed. It said hot water water on the sign, but there was none, at all during my 1 week stay.
In general, the owners did not care and were very pally with the men who came to stay. I left after one week (was supposed to stay 3) and moved to Sheela Mohan, an excellent hotel down the street!
I would also like to add that wifi was terrible. It was off for days and the owners did nothing. I am a seasoned traveller in all parts of Asia and have stayed in some pretty simple places, but have never experienced such a bad hotel.

We really loved this place and enjoyed our stay during our visit to Rishikesh in 2012.The room tariff is very very reasonable. We were given a room with balcony from where the view of Laxman jhula was quite impressive. This hotel is located bang on the market place and very near to taxi stand, and also the hotel staffs were extremely good. So, if you are looking for a cheap accommodation, then this is it.

A good hotel to stay, cheap rate and comfortable.
Location is near to Lakshman Jula, so you can easily catch taxi to Neelakand and Ram Jula since hotel is near to taxi stand. Also this hotel is near to market, so shopping will be easy.

I stayed in a 3 bedded room with family.
The hotel is up the hill and behind 2 hotels, little difficult to climb up with luggage.
You can get some view from higher floors of the hotel.
The problem is that you need to get down at one end of Ganga river, walk with luggage through Laxman Jhula to reach the hotel. About 1 kM distance.
Small restaurant is ther in the hotel.
