THE BEST PLACE TO BE WHEN IN RISHIKESH! GREAT STAFF, AMAZING FOOD AND SUPER COOL OWNERS! The place is quiet, beautiful and has a lot of hidden gems to explore ! Ringed in our new years twice in a row here and will want to continue doing so! love and light to you guys!
Great staff and ambiance, delicious food and service. You are so close to nature here. Toilets have electricity and running hot water. Evening bonfire makes it a memorable experience. Rafting coach and organization is just fabulous.
We are a bunch of about 20 friends who have been visiting the camp ganga Rivera every four years since 2003! The place has only gotten better each time, while the setting is still very serene and relaxing. The entire camp was virtually occupied by us and we had a wonderful time over bonfire each night. The tents are basic but comfortable. The toilets are not attached but very neat and clean. The bathrooms have geysers for hot water. The food is excellent and they go out of the way to cater to your individual requirements. Finally the rafting experience is very good and they have amazing staff who take pains to make sure that you are comfortable.
This was one of the best thing we did on our 8 day trip to Haridwar, Rishikesh Badrinath. Based on many tripadvisor reviews, we chose this place. and it was a great decision. The place is off beat and needs some walk down from the main road to reach - about 15 min nice walk/rek through isolated path, bridge over the ganga etc. Not taxing but can be a different experience for those who are not used to. Camp is a set of tents spread on two levels with setup for food area and lavatories. Yes, the nature calls need to be answered in a dedicated set of restrooms common for the campers. Its clean though and decently maintained. Tents are small with 2 single beds in each and mind it, it cant take more than that. Not much luggage (anyway it does not make sense to carry too much here, live ascetic is the mantra - Good for env in a place like this). Anyway, you soon figure out that tent is only for sleeping (and that too you can avoid if its a good weather to sleep outside). However, once you settle in, you start to appreciate the beauty of the place. Bang on the river with great beaches around the river, serene, peaceful and surrounded by great vistas of forested hills. Near by is an amazingly beautiful and mighty waterfall completely private. We went to it on both days of stay that we had. Its pure fun with kids ! So is the stream flowing towards ganga from the waterfall. Next are some nice activities that you can do - kayaking, swimming, rock climbing and cliff jumping. I used my time here to do yoga in the morning and took some good shots with amazing backdrop of ganga and rocks while doing yoga. Peace encourages you to do that and meditate if you like it. Next is food and service. Both excellent. Amazing food they make for a place this isolated. Staff is very friendly and helpful, always ready for meeting customer needs. Thanks a lot to Jeevan, Vihan and Raj for making our stay great. Not to miss out final day rafting, thats a great experience too. Exciting and fun. So, if you like a great, secluded place with peace and beauty and are okay with not having very comfortable/luxe stay, go for this one.…
Serene atmosphere, tents by the banks of the ganges, finger licking good food and superb hospitality make this place a must go for every nature lover. Rafting on the river, waterfalls, swimming in the ganges, beach walks and small treks are some of the activities that can be done during one's stay. A thoroughly enjoyable and memorable experience
