I have stayed at various hotels, resorts and campsites around the world and even in Rishikesh over the last many years but I have no hesitation in saying that Aranyam is the best among all in the region. Some may offer lower prices in Rishikesh while some may be five stars but in terms of warm hospitality none can come even close to this one. Highly recommended for one and all.

I stayed at Aranyam for a few days with colleagues during an offsite. The clear flowing river right in front of the property makes for an amazing view as well as a meditative sound of the water totally captivates and relaxes. The food is great, tastes homely and nutritious which is very different from typical hotel food. We enjoyed a wide variety of adventure sports that we could do during our corporate offsite – be it river rafting on Ganga or rock climbing and trekking or the experience of jungle safari at Rajaji Tiger Reserve.

Being tired of the lockdowns we had been planning a trip to Rishikesh for some time but for some reason or the other it could never happen, till the time it did! We made an impromptu plan, found this exotic property Aranyam online, spoke with their very helpful reservations team and voila our trip was confirmed. Although a boutique resort, the property is huge with vast open spaces. Stunning wilderness ambience and a mesmerizing mineral rich, pristine river flowing by. From the moment we checked in and greeted ever smiling and friendly staff along with welcome drinks till we checked out loaded with fond memories the entire team took care of us like family. Our room on the first floor was big and very cozy having a spacious balcony overlooking the river. We enjoyed our morning and evening tea here. One of the most memorable experiences was having snacks by the riverside, frolicking and splashing around. There is a wide variety of adventure sports and wellness activities that one can enjoy here. We indulged in rock climbing, rappelling, jumaring, trekking and birding during our exciting holiday at Aranyam. Needless to say, that we can’t wait to be here again and would highly recommend this ‘activotel’ to everyone.

The Aranyam River Retreat in Mohanchatti, Sindhudi village is located on the stony banks of the river stream Hule, that merges into the river Ganges at Rishikesh. It provides scenic views and a great relaxing experience surrounded by the light breeze, the sound of the water skipping on the stones, and the chirping of birds. There are ample spots around to take a dip, sit on the rocks, or stroll around. Well-maintained and great for a family vacation that is close to nature and to relax far from the crowds of Rishikesh. There is ample playing space for children and activities in the well-manicured lawns. The lively and quirky decor at the Forktales restaurant in the Aranyam river retreat is attractive. It is clean and hygienic. The restaurant serves delicious veg and non-veg food and provides an appealing ambiance to relax. Piping hot and freshly made food is served with great love by their in-house caterer and caretaker, Govindji. Few things to note: 1. Only Jio mobile network works; Wi-fi hardly works. 2. Access is by a flight of stairs in the mountains, so may not be easy for some people. 3. While we were there food preparation took a bit of time but all the food was homemade style and freshly prepared. #uttarakhand #rishikesh #naturelovers #natureretreat #riverretreat #mustvisit #greatfood #goodambiance #indiansummer #vacationresort #riverside #riverHule #funtimes #fun #holidays #holidaywithkids #forktales #restaurant

Just completed my two days stay in Aranyam River Retreat! And I must say that it was the most memorable visit+stay in recent times. First thing first, it's not a hotel but more of a resort, so lets not expect the same level of standards as of hotel. But that's it - no other tipping point, everything is great about this resort. Location - Around 15 km from tapovan in Rishikesh, slightly off road drive and parking will be on road. You need to walk downward for about a km to reach the resort, but the walk is really mesmerizing as you will pass through a bridge and river. Rooms - There are total 12 rooms (Premium and Premium Plus) and cottages that were non-functional due to rains. I faced some difficulty in the earlier allocated room but the Incharge of this hotel - Mr Shobram, has changed our room instantly. Food - Food like home, limited options but dealt with affection. Surroundings - Beautiful, next to river Hyule and can be enjoyed with family and friends. In-the-hotel - Kids play area, outdoor games. Overall, the entire staff deserves a thumbs up.... Will stay again!!
