Ashram, Hotel, Iskcon Temple in one place. Situated around 2km from the main bus stand of Rishikesh called as Madhuban Ashram. As usual, the Iskcon temple was beautifully designed and they are good at it. Good thing I liked is, they have installed free cold drinking water vending machine just outside the temple.

If you are desiring to be surrounded by devotees of the lord, in a clean guesthouse with temple above and very good restaurant all within the complex , then this a good option. The price of the rooms are between 1000 to 1500. Booking is done via direct contact.

I went to this place with my family and booked 2rooms for 2 nights. The lady who attended us initially said the room charges would be Rs. 1500 per room per night and then soon decided to charge Rs. 2000 instead. This was too unprofessional as well unethical of her to do so. We had to agree to this as I was travelling with my parents and parents-in-law who were already tired.

They gave us two rooms in the basement which were just not worth the money they charged. The AC was in a broken condition, there were cobwebs in the walls and the furniture was dusty. Also the bedsheet was dirty and despite us telling them multiple times to get it changed, it was never done and finally we had to give up and put our own bedsheet that we were carrying for our journey.
Also there were so many insects on the walls outside our room and mosquitoes in the rooms.
The only thing good about this place is the Iskon temple, the restaurant and the fact that I stayed there with my family and had a good time despite poor amenities and inconveniences.
I would not recommend anybody visiting the ashram for stay, ofcourse they can visit the temple and have prasadam there.

We ate at the restaurant attached to this ashram, and the food was delicious. We had the lassi and the paneer biryani (a really out of this world experience). We would highly recommend this restaurant.

We (myself and my friend - 2 females) stayed in this ashram from Nov 1, 2016 to Nov 11, 2016. We had an excellent stay in this ashram. It is more than an ashram. It provided all the basic amenities like a hotel. Nice clean and well ventilated rooms with attached balconies. Lift is also available. Provided free bottled water daily. It is very close to Mother Ganges river. A nice walkway has been constructed along the river and going to river Ganges was very important for us. We could do so more than once in a day because of the proximity of this place to the river. It is also close to other things.

Restaurant food is great. It is freshly made and can be customized. I had some diet restrictions and they made it very nicely per my request. My special thanks to Pankaj for this. In general the restaurant staff is very hospitable and pay attention to your needs. We loved their kheer, lassi and herbal tea which is available all the time.

The beautiful ISKCON temple is part of this property. We attended Aarti and Kirtan in this temple which was sung with great devotion. It was peaceful and energizing.

Overall the staff is very polite and friendly. We loved our stay there. Thanks to all the staff for everything.

We stayed here for 4 nights and have to say for this price the rooms were the cleanest we have seen so far in India. It is quite a distance from Laxman Jhula but within easy reach of transport. Staff were quite helpfull and happy. It is run by ISKON which has a decent reputation. Restaurant had a good range of food but was WAY too oily. Having eaten at Hare Krishna restaurants in Australia I was expecting the same kind of food. They need to use less ghee here as excessive ghee is not good for heart health. All over however the rooms here are excellent.

During my Rishikesh visit this March I stayed in Madhuban Ashram along with my family for three days. It has been quite a spritual experience to stay in quiet peaceful surroundings , amid celestial music played in the temple, undertaking long morning walk on tracks of ganga ji .The food served in Govind,s resturant is delicious and totally Sattvic. The staff including senior manager Mr Rana and Suresh are very helping . we have attended Aarti in the temple and interacted with head priest Mr Vimal.
I will recommend this Guest house to every on vacation with family
