The Himalayan Hideaway is located 19kms from Rishikesh on the Devprayag in the Himalayan foothills, surrounded by a mixed forest with the Ganga flowing past. There are 10 rooms scattered over the hillside. We are not a resort or a hotel. We are simply a Lodge. The rooms are built and designed like a Colonial Forest Rest House. Our rooms are named after legendary climbers and explorers who have climbed in the Garhwal Himalaya. Our garden is indigenous and planted with only the native species of the area. No exotics. If you are looking to getaway from the city and unwind, have a desire to be in nature, want to step off the treadmill of city life for a couple of days, then the Himalayan Hideaway might be what you are looking for. Himalayan Hideaway is for those who want a leisurely and maybe not a lazy retreat. We offer white water rafting, bird watching, short and long hikes and Yoga. The food is wholesome and plenty. In short we offer you a warm and welcome retreat in nature.

I spent the last four days with my wife and 6 year old daughter courtesy of ReadySetTrip.Com at this boutique resort. It's nestled in the forest on the mountainside overlooking the Ganges River. White sand beaches, wildlife, wonderful staff, great food are all combined in a

We were brilliantly looked after by Himalayan River Runners, Yousuf and his team, on our recent trip to India. From meeting us in Delhi they managed the whole itinerary for our (rather large) group, ensuring we got the most from our experience. Accommodation and food at the

We were four families with children and stayed for 2N3D in 4 rooms. The first problem is that the property doesnot have an attached parking and U have to park almost on the highway (scary) at check in. We informed the manager well in advance that we would like to have lunch with

I regret the poor experience you have had with us. I admit that we have timings for our meals. Vegetarian lunches and only non veg dinners. No fridges and TVs in the rooms. Extremely limited room service. In fact we do not encourage meals in rooms. We inform about all of the above at the time of booking. We suffer with this communication gap when bookings are made through a booking portal. I think you came through Make My Trip and these finer points got overlooked. We do not consider ourselves a regular hotel. We position ourselves as a Lodge in the forest near the Ganga. In fact we are continuously trying to attune ourselves to the environment where even our garden is a cultivated forest of indigenous local plants with nothing exotic. We have a new cook. And indeed most guests have enjoyed our food. When people book directly with us we make sure to tell them about the experience we are trying to present to the guests. It is mostly about communing with nature. In adequate comfort only. We have a tremendous appeal among adventurous people who want to raft, hike or who like to come for a retreat and do some meditation and yoga. Once again I am sorry that your experience with us was so poor.

Didn’t stay at this lodge but went on their day trip of rafting and hiking. The staff are absolutely amazing and take such good care of you. I felt extremely safe the whole day. It has been a highlight of my trip. One of my favourite days in India so far! The lunch they serve in
