The location of Veda 5 is beautiful. The rooms are all surrounded by breath-taking views of the mountains. The staff are all so welcoming and so very helpful. A shout out to Rahul & his Team in the restaurant who went out of their way to serve the delicious banquet of food made by the amazingly talented chefs. Another shout out to Naveen & the staff at the Ayurvedic treatment centre. Manju, was the therapist who looked after me & she was extremely professional. The yoga teachers, reception staff, cleaning staff, gardeners & maintenance staff were all friendly and very helpful. I would highly recommend Veda 5 to anyone looking for a spiritual retreat to unwind and rejuvenate. Thank you Veda5 from Bhavna.

Stayed at this yoga retreat for a week and it was a wonderful experience. Solo traveller on rejuvenation programme which included a daily massage from Neeraj-she was amazing Thank you, very thoughtful to my needs, different massage daily depending on what the doctor advised. Naveen booked massages and arranged times accordingly thank you !
I learnt a lot about different foods, spices, grains and much more from staff at restaurant. Food is freshly cooked and so tasty at all times. Thank you to Rahoul and his team they are so welcoming and always looking after you, Aarti, Abinav, Bal Gopal and chef Salman and the rest of team - we had hot chapatis every evening and they are always willing to cook special requests - I was very spoilt !
The daily program is very well thought of with a variety of yoga, meditation, activities, talks, cooking demo's, daily pooja, thank you to Ashok the Manager and staff that lead the activities to name a few Mr Negi, Anjana, Ira, Govind and so many more wonderful staff.
The drivers are very safe drivers-there is a winding round to the resort and they didn't take any risks. It is worth a visit into Rishikesh for Ghanga Aarti or a bit of shopping.
The grounds, rooms and property is very well maintained. Thank you to Ramchandra and the groundskeepers working all day, repainting or watering the plants. The retreat is in the Himalayan hills, views are scenic and the air is fresh.
Thank you to front desk staff Natasha and Shubham always helpful with with all requests and dealt with kindness. Also arranging extra requests with the housekeeping staff who cleaned the rooms so beautifully and brought me whatever I needed.
Nirmal had booked the package exactly to my request and requirements - thank you
As you can tell from my review that I had a fabulous time and it was very special stay form me as a solo traveller I felt safe and enjoyed the experience very much. All the staff are absolutely amazing and you are treated with respect and much kindness.
I booked this retreat after looking at other retreats but the reviews for Veda5 swayed me to book here hence this review for other travellers to consider Veda5.
I was already planning my next trip back even before I had left Veda5 and I will definitely be going back. I hope all that visitors have the same experience and enjoy it as much as I did!

There is no words that can entirely depict the experience we had at Veda5. My partner and I lived here for 2 MONTHS!
We discovered this gem of a venue last year and decided to come here to run Yoga Trainings & Yoga Retreats for our Yoga community back home in Australia. We brought over 3 different groups over the two months and everyone had such an incredible experience.
The staff easily make Veda5 the best place to visit in Australia. They are so attentive, so caring and will literally do anything to make your stay more comfortable. Special mention to all those that we communicated with on a daily basis like Kaushik, Ritika, Kudip, Govind, Shivam, Seema, Naveen & all the Chefs. You guys have made this last 2 months so incredible for us.
The venue itself is stunning. Set in the foothills of the Himalayas, 30 mins out of Rishikesh away from the hustle and bustle. There is an incredible view from everywhere within the retreat. A beautiful swimming pool and a short walk to a nearby river. Walking up to the village, farm and temple is definitely a highlight.
The restaurant is amazing. Completely sattvjc food with no onion, no garlic and no meat. Everything they serve is delicious and cooked with so much love and the staff are always willing to accomodate dietary requirements or even just special requests.
The drivers are some of the safest we have experienced in India. They are always on time and ensure you get from a to b very safely (especially on challenging roads).
The property is meticulously maintained, they have groundskeepers working everyday painting something new, sweeping the driveway or watering the plants.
The Ayurvedic treatments are incredible, very reasonably priced. Naveen was very helpful in accomodating my large groups and everyone had such a great experience.
The front desk staff were so helpful, always answering my calls and texts whilst I was leading the retreats and would do anything to help me. No matter how ridiculous my request was it was always completed with such kindness and sweetness. Along with the housekeepers who cleaned the rooms so beautifully and brought me whatever I needed.
Don’t bother staying anywhere else, this place is the complete package. We plan to come back here every year for the rest of our life.

What an incredible holiday! We recently stayed one week here with yoga friends on a group retreat. The location and views are amazing - waking to the sounds of birds, monkeys and the rushing river each morning, with mist rolling in over the hills. The ayurveda spa was lovely, but food was the absolute stand out. So peaceful and quiet, but close enough to Rishikesh for a much more intense afternoon of shopping! Try and do the hike uphill to the small temple on the other side of the staff village - worth it for the views, but take (and tip) a guide. I would absolutely stay here again.

This is a charming place nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas in Northern India where the Ganga flows fresh and clean. I was there for five weeks for Panchakarma and a thorough rest and detox experience. I got that and more.
There was a varied yoga program lead by teachers who are were greatly experienced and knowledgeable - I thought they were extremely patient as they adapted their sessions to meet the varied needs and levels of guests. This suited me very well, even though I have done lots of tough yoga at home, I was able to go slower and be in tune with the individualised Ayurvedic treatments and diet that took up the rest of my relaxing time.
I was resigned to have a reclusive holiday as I was travelling on my own. I felt superbly safe and cared for at all times by the exceptional staff all around the centre, and wow (!) were there some interesting people to talk to and share the whole experience with as they came and went and I stayed on my epic visit! The communal dining room and specific fun evenings with music and sometimes dance lends itself to being social as does the Ayurvedic spa/clinic experience.
I will be honest and add that there were three disappointments. The site is very hilly, with lots of steep stairs, which is sort of obvious if you look at the picture, but is worthy to note. The trail hiking, or walking is very limited on site. But I adapted with yoga, swimming and also going up and down stairs all day long - I had a room that was quite high up (fantastic!). Lastly, the air was not fresh, as I would expect at a mountain resort, but this is no fault of the owners or managers. Certainly much better that in cities or in dustier areas in India.
I arrived in early March and left in early April as the temperature slowly rose. This was a perfect time. It was cool when I arrived and by the time I left, the bushes and trees were in flower and there were lots of birds to entertain me.
All in all, a great place.

We stayed 6 nights at Veda 5 Retreat Center It’s situated on top of a mountain near Rishikesh, Very secluded and serene The daily Ayurvedic treatments were amazing! Kanchan was my technician, she was so professional and sweet. Devendra, the head Chef cooked the best food ever! So healthy and tasty! He was so sweet and humble and taught us a lot about cooking Ayurvedic Indian food in his cooking lessons. I highly recommend the retreat for a body and mind cleansing experience 🙏🇮🇳

Fantastic place, calm and serene Great view Great food Lovely & helpful staff
Veda5 was such a pleasant surprise. They had arranged a pick up for us from Rishikesh. The ride was comfortable and beautiful. When you get to the resort you suddenly get disconnected from the world. We couldn’t place ourselves on the map once we got here. It felt so remote.
Checking in was an experience in itself.
There was a sanitisation station, they asked us to wash our hands nicely and then stand in sanitiser mist to get cleaned up. There were drums and bells playing while we entered. We were welcomed with sandal tilaks, stoles and beads mala with bhrangi welcome drink (which was delicious and we had it first time in life)
We were showed around the property and taken to our room which had such an amazing view! In our balcony we were greeted some local monkeys, as we are in a national park, wildlife is expected (pro tip: don’t feel the monkeys with food or attention).
In the two day stay, we had great food. The staff is so helpful and always smiling. Food has this flavour that makes one feel loved. Satvic food, no onion or garlic, very light and OMG SO DELICIOUS!

I had a very enjoyable experience at Veda 5 in Rishikesh. The yoga sessions and meditation were truly transformative, providing a deep sense of relaxation. The remote location added to the serenity of the retreat, allowing me to disconnect.
The vegeterian food was a highlight of the retreat, with a menu full of delicious and healthy Ayurvedic dishes. The staff were attentive and accommodating, making sure all our needs were met.

Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun. You’d have to fly into Delhi and then get flight there. Or you can catch train from delhi also. If I was you I’d go flight given you’ll already be in an airport and then just arrange transfer through hotel. We organised our own transfer but then driver wouldn’t take us all the way as it’s outside rishikesh town so wished we’d just gone through hotel for ease- they were great!
There are more places to choose from in the Rishikesh area.
