Nice hotel. The location is amazing as its situated right near the banks of river Ganga and surrounded by hills. Very peaceful and beautiful location. There were some river rafting points as well nearby so that also helped. Food options are limited but they were very good. Restaurant staff was very good. There are few negative points as well such as poor mobile connectivity, limited breakfast buffet options, some issues with housekeeping people etc but still overall would recommend this hotel if you want to stay somewhere close to the river and looking for a quite and peaceful location.

If you love nature and want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city than Mahayana Rishikesh is one of the best place for you to stay in Rishikesh.
Everything is awesome be it the place, stay and the food.
Location is hardly 10 - 15 minutes from Lakshman Jhula. You can enjoy river which is flowing by the side of the resort. You can enjoy the view of Mountain which is just opposite to your room. They prepare & serve fresh & tasty food. Special thanks to Mr. Ghosh who always made sure we enjoy our trip fully.
We were 20 members and everyone enjoyed the trip to the fullest.
Again thanks for making our trip a memorable one!!!

Perfect weather to enjoy this serene beauty with your family and friends and must enjoy the view. The resort were we stayed is mahayana resort is just beautiful.. guy for the first time I loved the place were you feel so relax and want to spent me time.. this destination is like a heaven were you can see the mountains, river and in the image you can see I am sitting in d river and working and taking sort of sun bath... jokes a part..
I will highly recommend this resort called mahayana resort for your one day trip or couple trip or family small vacation..

The resort is poorly maintained:
Most of the rooms have dampness and moisture in the walls and smell bad
The rooms are very small and not spacious at all..
Wi-Fi doesn’t work
The breakfast has hardly any options..
Highly overpriced for the service they offer.
The management at the resort is very poor and unprofessional, we had booked 10 rooms at the resort and as soon as we reached there instead of welcoming us they rudely asked us to pay the entire amount in advance else they will not give the rooms.

We entered the hotel directly. Mr Mehta was their with his very rude and arrogant attitude. The way he gives you rate seems this the only best hotel in Rishikesh. No doubt the Location is good. But the bed sheet given was dirty... Washoom taps were leaking and not clean too. The So called resort didn’t even have a small toothpaste. We paid one of the staff to buy it for us. Food is very costly as per the quality.

Visited this resort in the month of November post Diwali ..after recommendations from a friend I booked 2 rooms ..when we arrived Mr Ghosh upgraded us to a Suite !! Property was good with a nice stream flowing ..weather was very cool , breakfast was good and dinner was also well prepared !!

Very beautiful location little far from hustle bustle of Rishīkesh town near a water stream fully enjoyable n safe . Food taste great . Staff is very nice specially mr. Gosh . Overall good experience.

Rooms of first floor are better from view perspective. Staff is helpful & friendly. Service is decent. You can witness nature enveloping you. Seren & peaceful. It's around 18 kms from rishikesh central point, near tattapani. Lawn in front of rooms are treat to eyes.

Had visited the resort in feb'2022 with great expectations . However, pathetic service and rude behavior of resort manager shattered my trip to rishikesh.
The staff were unwelcoming. They didn't care to help the guests. Even gate wasn't open to let in cab. So, we had to carry our luggage ourselves through steep steps along uphill till the exit gate.
It would had been a nice stay if the Manager and its staff were bit humble. Hope they learnt a lesson.

After lots of online research we were not confident whether we should go with this resort or not. Finally we booked because we were not getting alternative options. But it was nice decision, from the location of the resort, reception, parking restaurant, rooms, services... everything is awesome, in short i can say the perfect resort for the families. Rooms are quite small but it doesn't matter because in these locations we generally prefer to spend time in nature and we loved it. The only small thing which resort needs to look is on Breakfast options, there is very limited breakfast options. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Mahayana Resort and whenever we visit Rishikesh we will stay here only.
