This place situated in Tapovan is quite serene, homely and green. Owner and staff is very friendly and will make you comfortable throughout your stay. the best part is its lush green surrounding and the major attraction is Hugh cactus tree which we all fell in love with. My kid was very much attracted to the place because of very friendly dog TIMRU. Though landed accidently at the place but we will for sure be going there every time we are in Rishikesh.
We landed at this place while hunting for a pet friendly place in pouring rain. Mr. Rajeev welcomed us and our dogs with a calm face and pleasant smile...that was a first positive click😀..after that positive things kept getting added..from clean rooms to budget friendly fare to view from room to clean linen bedsheets and blankets to scrumptious original homemade pahari food. A big big add on is their roof top cafe with a 360 degree view of the flowing Ganges ..temples.. city and beautiful lush green mountains around..staff was very polite and helping. Beautiful garden and lawns with extraordinary plants and trees will make you forget about the whole hustle n bustle of your life. It's a must visit place .. We'll surely be visiting again soon.
I accidentally landed at HIGH BANK PEASANT COTTAGE and am am glad I did. Every moment spent here along with every penny is totally worth it. From view to rooms to cleanliness to green surroundings to hospitality to even the other guests, it is worth it. The food is cooked with love and topped with authentic pahadi spices and flavours. If anyone is looking for a place to unwind when life gets crazy, it is the place to be.
I walked into the place by chance and loved it at first look. Quiet and peaceful place, away from the main bustle of rishikesh. The rooms are lovely, done up with taste and with sitting areas in front. I love the fact that Rajeev, the owner, has focused on the feel and ambience of the place by maintaining plenty of open and green areas and not cluttering the place by maximising on the built up area Food is available on request.. It was delicious and reminded me of home food. Timru, their dog, is a gentle giant who adds to the general wellbeing of the place.. Always ready for a backrub if you are also game. Rajeev is generally around to help you.. He helped me a lot... In finding quiet places to relax and good places to eat. Will definitely stay again when I visit
Ended up discovering this accidentally when we saw this huge cactus (almost 30 feet) in their garden. The place is amazing for budget travellers and the morning viea of Ganga from the terrace is amazing. The owner despite having huge area has tried to maximize the green area and most of the rooms have an open sitting area. We stayed here twice and got a chance to get acquaintance with the owners. Rajeev has been self managing the place and uncle has some really good stories from the gone old time to listen to. Its more of a homestay than a resort. Ram jhula and Lakshman Jhula are at walking distance from this place .
