A homely guest house on the bank of Ganga, near Rishikesh, surrounded by mountains, Rainforest house is a space where people can come to relax, rejuvenate, meditate, paint, read, write, trek around or simply to practice the art of doing nothing......A lovely place to spend time sitting next to Ganga, have a swim or for the more adventurous ones, jump from our famous jumping rock! It's a great place for yoga and spiritual retreats to be held.we are a 100 meter trek down a forest path from the road.to ensure a peaceful stay rainforest house is an alcohol free zone.

I was excited at travelling back to India again, I try to go every year as it is such a vibrant country, beckoning me time after time.. This time the Rainforest House, wow, on the banks of the Ganges, what could have bettered that? Down a slope and there it was, rustic and simple and yet modern and with all the necessary mod cons, and yippee, no phones and no tv!! Always a phone to use in an emergency, Steve sees to that. The rooms were spacious and clean and beds comfortable, all with view over the river. The food was simple and organically good, cooked by either Mukesh or Steve, always presented in an exquisite way, and we sat in their cafe and had a relaxing meal times, sometimes with lovely calming background music. Mornings bright and fresh, evenings cosy and relaxing

Last month, I visited Rishikesh for a weekend with my wife, Jaya, to spend some time close to nature and away from the busy city life. Luckly, while searching on the web, I saw few pictures of Rain Forest House and booked my stay there. The resort exceeded my expectations in all aspects including untouched close to nature location, incredible service level, simple yet elegant rooms and the passionate owners. Even though August is not a good time to visit Rishikesh, as the prime attraction of Rishikesh - 'white water rafting' is not available during this month, but I had great time there because of the resort where I stayed. In every aspect, I could feel that the place is build out of passion rather than creating something with the intention of building a commercial
