A homely guest house on the bank of Ganga, near Rishikesh, surrounded by mountains, Rainforest house is a space where people can come to relax, rejuvenate, meditate, paint, read, write, trek around or simply to practice the art of doing nothing......A lovely place to spend time sitting next to Ganga, have a swim or for the more adventurous ones, jump from our famous jumping rock! It's a great place for yoga and spiritual retreats to be held.we are a 100 meter trek down a forest path from the road.to ensure a peaceful stay rainforest house is an alcohol free zone.

I love this place. I love that I'll return to it in November. The path from the road is easily managed for most if not all, particularly because if you let Manish (more on him below), someone will meet you to help you with your bags. If you'll return after dark, have a light. The function on my phone was sufficient. The yelps of joy from the rafters between about 11:00 and 5:00 did not detract for me. They are having a blast. If you sit closer the waterfall/stream, the sounds of that drown out the humans. That waterfall/stream is so relaxing. The short walk to Ma Ganga is great. You can go off to one side and have a bit more privacy from the rafters. Or go first thing in the morning. Peace exemplified. The room is well appointed, clean. Happy to have no tv/phone. Wifi worked

It’s a really rustic and beautiful place to stay in Rishikesh also food is excellent but the only minus that I found at this place was the washroom..they only had toilet paper and no hand shower ...which from the hygiene perspective is important to Indians..maybe Americans are ok with only toilet paper but I feel that if you charge good amounts of money basic amenities are a must..also I had to request for a mug and bucket...that was the only minus for me...it’s a very beautiful place to spend your days in Rishikesh if you don’t mind this..also one more detail..the sheets though were clean were smelling very dusty...it seemed no one had stayed in the room for ages and the staff hadn’t bothered to change it...I really didn’t want to write anything and about this place but I just

We stay there over a long weekend in the summer. We were in the Jamun Kutir and liked our room. It was fine and comfortable despite being referred to as "rustic", There was hot water, A/C and even wireless. No TV. The food was vegetarian and fine and tasty The service exemplary -- everyone from Manish on down. We were served with a smile and nothing was lacking. There were a few things we did not like. The location as described is down a dirt path off the main road. No problem with that except at night when you would find it difficult. The path being off the main road has thrash and that was disappointing. I would have expected the lodge to have cleaned it. The river is down a short walk over boulders and thrash. And it is noisy with the rafters landing at a rock that they like

Lovely property. Waterfall running through so you always hear the rush of water. Very soothing. Right near the river. Simply the best food. Clean and flavoursome. The team - Manish, Shravan and all were most helpful, always smiling and gentle demeanour. As mentioned in all the reviews - it is a bit of a walk to the property. However, someone is always there to help with your bags or guide you after sunset. I look forward to my next visit at Rainforest. - Shikha

The place is at a lovely location right by the Ganga and there is a lovely constant stream flowing just besides it in the jungle (though getting there from the main road is little tough if you are not physically fit or old). It is very well managed. Staff is really cooperative, helpful and warm. The silence during night is deafening. Its not a place with plush five-star facilities but still its the best home-stay you can find around Rishikesh outside the noise of the town. The amenities are basic yet decent, clean and fully functional. The kitchen is also great but the meals are generally not included in tariff and little exorbitant rate-wise. If you are planning rafting, you can go little up north and can board down right at this place - extremely convenient and productive. The
