A homely guest house on the bank of Ganga, near Rishikesh, surrounded by mountains, Rainforest house is a space where people can come to relax, rejuvenate, meditate, paint, read, write, trek around or simply to practice the art of doing nothing......A lovely place to spend time sitting next to Ganga, have a swim or for the more adventurous ones, jump from our famous jumping rock! It's a great place for yoga and spiritual retreats to be held.we are a 100 meter trek down a forest path from the road.to ensure a peaceful stay rainforest house is an alcohol free zone.

The Rainforest House is such a nice place to relax with the sound of The Ganga flowing by. Surrounded by beautiful trees and next to a small waterfall it really makes you feel separate from the city while only being a 7 minute drive away. There is a beautiful little beach to walk to for Ganga dip or meditation. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the staff is so wonderful. I felt very cared for the whole I was there. The only slight downfall is you have to walk down a long hill that has some loose gravel so you have to be careful to slip. While it’s slightly inconvenient it’s also the reason why the rainforest house feels more secluded and less effected by the honking horns of the main road so I think it’s worth it if you are able bodied.

I organised a Yoga Retreat/Workshop at Rainforest House and it was absolutely wonderful. Manish and his team were super helpful, efficient and friendly. The food was delicious. The rooms were clean and comfortable. All of my participants loved practicing yoga overlooking the Ganges in the beautiful Yoga space. Rainforest House is a little way out of Rishikesh and is a quiet sanctuary from the bustle of the city. Transport into town is very easily arranged. I have already booked my next stay. If you are looking for a place to run a workshop in Rishikesh I can highly recommend Rainforest House.

Basic at it's best. Basic food, basic but gorgeous interiors. Great view of the Ganga and there is actually a waterfall inside the property. Extremely helpful staff that make you feel at home. Great hosts, there's a bonfire every night, a place to work outdoors, hammock, walkable distance to the most beautiful view of sun set on the river.

Rainforest House is they type of place at which one can experience Nature in it's purest form with basic needs taken care of and a very sumptuous and healthy food options. It has all the elements to be experienced - Sit under the trees and observe birds or in your room balcony watching the rafts pass by, place yourself alongside the stream on a hammock with a book or splash in knee deep flowing water, feel the breeze at the 2nd floor, go to the Ganjaji ( a small downhill of 25 m and cross some rocks ) and bask in the Morning Sun ( Sunrise is a divine feel ) or sip a cup of green tea in the semi-open café sit out, or just simply listen to the sound of the stream and the river from the comfort of your room… time just flows here.... What we liked about the place 1. Location - It is in Brahmpuri, Rishikesh- upstream ….. Away from the city area 2. We stayed in the upper level room - with a balcony - the rooms are good - big enough for 3, having basic amenities, Bathrooms are ok. 3. No disturbance -- and help is just a call away 4. Food - The café serves delicious - easy on your stomach - pure VEG food - Try their house meal ---- a Perfect mix of Vegetable/Paneer, Dal , Salad, Raita, Rice ( unpolished - locally available variety ) and Roti ( Wheat / Ragi /Corn) - No Meida used... But their Pizza is good too...…We did not have any problem for our JAIN Food preference. 5. The people are happy to help type - they arranged for our rafting trip and our taxi needs and also a nice fire one evening - Thanks Manish..... Important things to keep in mind before selecting this place 1. One has to do an approx. 400 m downhill walk to reach to this place. The terrain is rough. for boarding a vehicle, it will be an uphill journey . If someone is weak or has disability, think again. 2. For some, the place will be natural, for some - Rustic and for some - Mystic. But for some people who are habituated with luxury, it will be dirty. This place is a Home-Stay kind - Not a HOTEL or a RESOTRT. Think twice if you have someone in your group who is habituated with luxury.

This is great property for nature and solitude lovers The best part is that there is a stream and a waterfall inside the property. The rooms were basic but neat and clean. The food was awesome but expensive. You can track down to Ganges and sit on the banks if the sacred river. The parking is on the road but safe and you have to track down to the property which is surrounded by lot of trees. Great stay indeed.

I stayed at rainforest house for 10 days. This was the first time in 1.5 years that I was traveling (with the lockdowns during pandemic). Steve and Tripti have created a space that has a healing energy, leaving you with a sense of lightness. Prior to booking, Steve was very prompt and generous with his responses over chat. This meant a lot because this was our first trip in more than a year post pandemic related lockdown and we were trying to be very cautious with travels. Location and space - Rainforest house is located very conveniently close to Lakshman jhoola, took us 10 -15 mins to reach the bazaar area. However we quickly realised that we don't want to step outside at all as rainforest house had everything (and better) - a waterfall flowing adjacent to the property, the river flowing by in front (conveniently far enough from high adrenaline screaming rafters), many spaces to sit, meditate, read a book, work, etc. The energy of rainforest house was evident - my thoughts slowed down, I slept incredibly well and was able to center myself more than I am able to usually. Staff - Everyone is very kind punctual and very professional. Manish ji, the manager is wonderfully resourceful. He effortlessly arranged a rental vehicle, pick ups, and had the best recommendations - which I noticed was customised based on who he was interacting with. He had advice for short weekend visitors as well as longer stayers. The rest of the team was very professional in terms of mealtimes, cleaning, logistics. Food - The menu is healthy, delicious and fresh. Like mentioned, it is frehly cooked. Over 10 days I got to try everything from their pancakes to parathas and pohas, their stir fry veggies with cottage cheese cake as well as my favorite house meal that balanced proteins, carbs and fibres. I particularly loved that they were very mellow on spices (yes not all indians eat spicy food). I am particularly grateful for accommodating my dietary requests of low carb and high protein meals on most days. I did not feel the need to go to any of the hundreds of cafes in rishikesh after having food here. DO NOT MISS the incredibly delicious pizzas that they make from scratch in the kitchen! Working from here - I found that airtel and jio have super fast 4G network, and I could do video calls with ease. Make sure to not have long calls in common areas as it may take away from other people's peace (the space is very quiet and talking loudly on calls etc can be very disturbing). Rooms - The rooms are very simple, clean and appropriately lit with daylight in morning and warm low lighting (my favorite) in evenings. It is amazing how well equipped it is with room heaters and ac, geyser and a clean well ventilated and designed bathroom. Given the hardships of living in harsh weather conditions and limited conveniences (as compared to cities), I really admire the incredibly hard work Steve, Tripti and their team take on to create a beaitiful envirommet. For the 10 days I was there, I also met some incredible people, and got to know Steve and Tripti and their family. It felt being part of a household/ family rather than being in a bnb/homestay. Which is why I left rainforest house with the resolve to be back very very soon. Note: it is very clearly specified everywhere that the way to Rainforest house is a small (100m approx) ascent/descent. Prepare to do it if you wish to step out regularly, it's great for your glutes and for working up an appetite for the delicious meals they serve!

An exclusive Location. Like a jewel, this place remains unnoticed for the fortune of its guests in the forest near Tapovan, Rishikesh. A guesthouse to experience all the peace and beauty of nature at the feet of the holy River. Excellent team, delicious and healthy food made with love, confortable rooms with western standards, stunning surroundings with the constant blessing of the Ganga and it's beaches at your doorstep. Highly recommended.

Imagine doing yoga in an open air studio, with the jungle and the Ganges as your view, with the sounds of a waterfall, hornbills, and monkeys as your backdrop. Stunning location in a forested gorge of the river, with fantastic meals made on site. Friendly staff, easy access to guided hiking or whitewater rafting, plenty of cozy spots to contemplate life...this place is just what you were hoping for. Just don't leave your plate of food unattended...there be monkeys!!!
