The love is everwhere , the staf is amazing ful of care and love The food also is made with love and care. The walk to Mother Ganga is so beatifull butterfly everywhere and the sound of the birds and Mother Ganga. ❤️.A bath in the Holy Ganga makes you calm its a healing energy. I was here in 2013 3 months .And this year 2 months Its so good to be here 🙏🏼 You have to be aware its a walk up yo come here but also a beatifull walk. Its not close to Rishikish but i take the bus ore a lift. There are villages here u can visit. The people here are honest and pure . Its at the feet of the Hymalaya. With the stream of Mother Ganga u hear from your balcony . A place for those people who like silence and meditation. And be away from the busy life and crowded places .to be with nature and yourself…
Imagine you are entering a dreamland tucked away in nature, only reachable by climbing a bridge and mountain. Then imagine a hideaway consciously designed to support the evolution of the true seeker. Extraordinary service, view, beautiful meditation halls, rooftop spots and meals. And a lot of attention to detail. Anand Lok is one of a kind and I am almost hesitant to share a great review as I appreciate the low buzz but high vibration at this magical place. I spent 3 nights here with my Yogini pilgrimage group and everyone was simply amazed by the beauty that this space is holding. If you are looking for something off the beaten track alongside the sacred river Ganga, this is it! you won't find other beautiful places that are integrated into nature so seamlessly!
Anand Lok keeps evolving and at the same time keeping its magic. This place is peaceful, accommodations are simple and comfortable. The best part is the staff and food in this place as well as the yoga facilities and private beach on The Ganga. Perfect place to hold a retreat or just stay in a tranquil environment.
I just came back from this amazing place, my 4 visit to India and my first time in this area. I'm so grateful to discovered a piece of heaven, from the delicious food, very helpful staff, and beautiful accommodations and the private beach on the Ganges make this place a perfect place to connect to nature, receive the healing energies of the mountains, river and their organic food. There is a very special feeling. Can't wait to go back and bring a group.
Hi. Stayed there for 2 nights in 2009. Awesome location in the laps of the ganges. A short trek and a boat ride takes you to this paradise. We loved the food cooked based on the local produce. No air conditioning when we visited, I guess there is no need most year round. Recommend highly.
Anand Lok is a perfect place for those who want to spend some quite time in a comfortable, scenic place in Himalayas, overlooking the ever beautiful Ganga. It is easy to access - just 22 Kms from Rishikase. Very comfortable rooms, good food, warm, eager to serve staff. You should be fit enough to climb a small hillock to reach the place.
I have recently returned from Anandlok where I stayed for 6 days with a friend. The adventure begins when one arrives on the main road and has to clamber down rocks and take a boat across the Ganges and then climb a path up to the Hotel which is perched above the Ganges. Everywhere there are views of mountains and the Ganges sings away with her powerful voice below. One can sit on the terrace above Ganga and eat the wholesome and simple food whilst drinking in the beauty. The staff are extremely helpful and attentive and the huts simple and clean. We went in late Dec early Jan so nights and mornings cold but attention is now being paid to make sure that the rooms are draft proof and heating adequate. The gardens, both flower and veg are laid out in a way that delights the eyes and heart. At the heart of Anandlok is its admirable charity work. I would definitely go again.…
I stay here for 1 night in October 2011 whilst in Rishikesh. It is very quiet, clean and scenic with nice views of the mountains and lots of greenery. There was only a Russian couple when i was there. The price includes 3 meals a day. Food is okay ; quite a lot. There is only a porter to help you carry your luggage and a chef there who does the serving. No TV and internet access. You have to take a short boat ride across the Ganges after which it is quite a tiring walk up a rocky slope to reach the cottage. The porter Mr Jagdish will help you to carry your bags but it was still tiring for me.Overall it is a very nice and friendly place if you are looking for just some quite. If you are not use to Indian food you have to remind the chef not to put too many spices or salt.
it is a place that is to yourself with ample time to introspect and spend time with familiy, perched on a hill top and the ganges below as a private beach, open meadows , no civilisation to talk to, organic food, good service and most friendly owners
The resort, situated amid lush green forests and mountains, is probably the best way to spend one's weekend. But if this translates into a resort that only has forests and mountains, it is probably not for you. I went there with my husband and a toddler and enjoyed myself. Day one was spent watching the breathtaking view from the room, day two was spent lazing on the sand along the Ganges that flows around 200 mts downhill. Third day we were back and happily so. While the resort is beautiful, staying there with family and a kid for too long might not be a wonderful idea. Without a tv or another soul to interact with, it could get a little eerie after a while. The climb uphill is steep and left us panting and almost regretting but later we realized that probably the climb is one of the best things about the resort. Take a lot of books, movies with you because the resort as yet does not have a recreational room or activity centre but if you want to be one with yourself, go ahead and enjoy.…
