I had an amazing time in Jaipur inn. The owner of the hotel was there all the time to help with anything we needed and to make sure everything was ok during our stay.
The rooms were clean with air con. The breakfast wa also very good for the price.
The location is also good.

Hotel was decent and can stay with family. Staff was very kind and helpful. Owner was also nice. We booked AC rooms and rooms were OK, not too spacious but small family can stay. Very near to Laxman jhula just 1min walk from Hotel. No restaurant in hotel at that time, opening soon as per owner. I would prefer to stay again and recommend for all.

Disclaimer: I stayed at this hotel just before the serious flooding started, so not sure what shape it is in right now. However I do hope the staff/guests were safe during the tragic events.

This hotel is what i would call a "I just need a bed for the night hotel." You're really just there for a night and want to sleep comfortably. For that purpose, it delivers. For a price of Rs. 1000 you get a an a/c room/hot shower/fully functional toilet. The staff is quite helpful (not sure how their English is however) but dont expect them to take any initiative. The hotel is right on the river, but there was zero view from my room.

However:

- location is a bit off (other side of Laxmin Jhula, so you do have to cross the bridge with your bags if you dont want to deal with traffic).
- Power goes off often in the rains, but they have a backup generator (which doesnt run the a/c, but runs the fans.. which is sufficient during the rainy season)
- Rooms are reasonably clean, but buy your own toilet paper/soaps/tissues. Biggest turnoff for some travelers is that I dont think they change their bedsheets too often.

But as I said, if you just need a cheap place to crash for the night which has hot water, a/c, then Jaipur Inn is not a bad option. But go with low expectations.

Firstly, I completely understand that for £10 a room is a very good deal, even in India.
However, the room we had we requested a spare mattress that smelled of urine and the blanket that came with it had dried patches of what looked like sick on it.
We couldn't use the balcony as we were told that monkeys can get in. (A monkey did actually come on our balcony and run away with the rubbish bag out there) I understand completely this is out of the control of the hotel but it is still something you may want to bare in mind.
Also the bathrooms get very wet as it is a shower room but they only provide the small brushes to sweep the water away.
We were not provided with any soap of any kind, the towels were disgusting and there was mould on the walls.
But saying this if you are on a budget it is just something you have to put up with.

Situated in a good location close to the Laxman Jhoola bridge(Lat.: 30.1263669, Lon.: 78.3277042 [+30° 7' 34.92", +78° 19' 39.74"]), the rooms are clean with smart pastel decor, rooms with television and balcony views make this a good choice as the morning and evening views from the balcony are quite pleasant to watch. Though standing on the balcony is not safe during the evening and night times as monkeys in Rishikesh create much havoc in these wee hours. The toilet with bath area is brilliantly designed to fit in a small place with 24 hour hot water facility. The roof-top restaurant of this hotel caters fabulous continental dishes along with great view of Rishikesh through its glass walls. One can enjoy the sun with food in winter with a book of ones choice to pass the leisure time. The restaurant has a good collection of books to read. The main disadvantage of this hotel is that there is no online booking facility, one has to book rooms by depositing money in their AXIS Bank account; this is a great pain. The hotel has wi-fi network facility which can be accessed by paying a nominal amount on hourly basis. The room service is quite good. Mr. Negi and his team are wonderful. Met one of the most friendly and helpful team in my life. Overall, an excellent place to stay in Rishikesh in a moderate budget.

I stayed in Rishikesh at this hotel for almost 2 1/2 weeks and have zero complaints. In fact, everyone at the hotel went out of their way to be helpful and nice. I had an issue with the water heater in my room and was moved immediately to a higher priced room for the same price until someone wanting it (a Ganga view room) showed up, which never happened. It is one of the higher priced hotels, but you have hot water, and heat!! Heated rooms in the Himalayas are nonexistent, until I found this hotel, and after a year of grueling hours at my job in the U.S., I wanted the spirituality of India without having to rough it in a non-heated room. It's true that the rooms are higher than nearby hotels but if you checked into one of those and bought a room heater, you would still have your tariff doubled because electricity is expensive in India, so it made sense to me just to go here in the first place. Mr. Negi at the front desk was very professional and helpful, arranging my pick up from the airport in Dehra Dun, and the return trip, as well as a trip to Haridwar. The cost of the travel, as well as my meals, were settled at checkout, and I was happy with the total. For a higher-cost hotel, it was still a great value. Mr. Negi and the entire staff at Hotel Jaipur Inn were the nicest people and the food here is great :) My only complaint is that thali is not on the menu! But since it forced me to check out other restaurants whenever I had a thali attack, this also became a plus :) And for any chai lovers out there, right across the street from the hotel's front door, in an alley, is a chai stand with the best chai I've ever had in my life, and I've been all over India and Nepal for the last 15 years. I look forward to my next trip to Rishikesh and staying at this great hotel. P.S. There is wifi here too!

I choosed manly the hotel for his location but it is noisy and really dirty. Floor & Bed cover are really dusty! Staff is nice wifi is only ad reception desk. It is the worth hotel I have ever been in india. But for people who look for budget place and that don't care about dust it can be an option as the location is quite good

If you are looking for a posh locale, you should not come to Rishikesh. I am going for the third time because I love the people, area, customs and culture. It is simply India at it's best. I have never gotten sick, and I have requested special things like a case of water, and sweeping out every day, etc, and it is always done. The people are warm and genuine and would like to provide good service, but it is an INN, not a big hotel, so relax!- It's Rishikesh!!
