Dear all, I am writing you this message following my stay at your hotel, Hotel Veranda Tamarin on Monday 08 August 2022 for a day use package. My room number was 2003. First of all i would like to say that the decoration of the room and the decorative style of your hotel is among one of the most beautiful and original concept of Mauritian hotels. However i am writing specifically to point out your attention vis a vis the staff of the hotel. Please find below complaints i want to raise which will help to improve the customer service of the hotel : ●Your deal package mentioned either the Yemen Buffet or the table d'hote as choice for lunch, however we were told that only the yemen buffet was available. You should have clearly mentioned in your package the specific details of your lunch deal as we as customers find it as a significant criteria for the choice of hotel. ●Additionally for a 4 star hotel, your buffet service was little and was filled with low cost food options. It was not worth the money i invested in your hotel. ●The staff of the restaurant specially on that day, was not welcoming. There was a difference in the treatment of day use clients and your clients staying in the hotel. They were gloomy and not at all concerned of the clients who came in. They were making rough comments(swearing about themselves), and their standard as a staff hotel was really low as they were whistling while walking around customers. ●The staff of the restaurant and bar seems to have no idea about customer service and they are clearly in need of training on how to treat a customer. ●There was no clear indication on your part to inform us where to take our drinks. We had to repeatedly go from bar to bar to be able to order our drinks. Also the afternoon snack which is available in your package is worst. There was no clear indication where to take the afternoon tea. After taking a seat at the yemen buffet, we were told to move to the other to the bar near the pool to take our afternoon tea. ■I came to your hotel to relax and have a pleasant time with my fiancée, however we were not at all satisfied with your service and the hotel food. ■All of these should be clearly communicated in your package deal. I will never recommend another mauritian to go to your hotel. Hope my complaints are taken seriously and you do bring change in the attitude of your staff. It is nice hotel with a lot of villas, so you dont have to walk long hallways. It is very good dinner, much better as usually in such hotels. There also have nice main and roof pool. The best part is the activity program. Some are made directly with hotel with other they help you with contacts. on the other side, there were some ants in room and not all the activities in hotel were done. The beach is not the best for swimming, but it is good to learn surfing if the weather is good.
Me and my family - my wife and two teenage children - visited in July 2022 and had a great time. Great rooms with modern twist, great main pool - and there is even a roof top pool as well - with excellent sunset views and view over the bay. Food and courtesy of staff is fantastic, well managed and a great atmosphere and ambience throughout.. Renovated recently in great style and located perfectly for exploring the many interesting sites in the South of Mauritius. Hotel’s hospitality program is brillant and well selected and was part of our stay - many interesting offers to choose from. A public road between the hotel and the beach with a bit music in the weekend, but not any serious issue. Beach seemed ok but driving distance to Le Morne beach is short and worthwhile. Hotel Restaurant with buffet and the restaurant with a la carte were great, reasonably priced, profesional staff with a great attitude - and great service from front reception. Great family stay (children 7,9,12) all inclusive was amazing value. Right on the beach and next to surfer school my children learned to surf :) food was good quality and changes daily. Also ala carte if you crave burger etc. Room was nice, a couple of problems during stay, but they were fixed fast. Very festive in the weekend, live music, DJ etc. A lot of locals, we enjoyed it, but maybe to much for some. Points given to do excursions, we had a great sailing trip, with only a small amount added 👍
Spent a week at the Veranda Tamarin on my first ever trip to Mauritius, and think i made a great choice im staying at the Veranda. From the minute I arrived, i was made to feel very welcome by the friendly staff. The room was nice and while not directly on the beach, all you had to do was cross the street. The provided beach basket and cooler for going to the beach was a nice amenity. Both the main pool and the upstairs one were great places to unwind after exhausting days of touring. I had the all inclusive package so ate a lot meals here. The breakfasts were always enjoyable but the dinners left a little to be desired. My only complaints were the birds that were outside my door every night making enough racket to sometimes make sleeping difficult and then being presented with a bill upon check out for supposedly ordering things that were not covered by the all inclusive package. I have never stayed at an all inclusive that was not 100% all inclusive., and their excuse of telling me that everything is clearly marked on the menus holds no water when one never uses a menu to order from. I feel it is totally the responsibility of the bartender to inform you if you are ordering something that is not covered so be very wary of this while you are there.…
It’s our second stay , we definitely enjoyed an awesome stay even if just one night . We had an amazing room with great view ,all thanks to Kathy for this . The F&B team was all helpful, specially Caroline and Keshavane, so was Elizabeth from FO as well. We will come back again soon . veranda tamarin has been our birthday celebration top destination , as we enjoy the lively bay across the resort .
The hotel staff was beyond exceptional, especially Mrs Paransha who was very friendly and helpful from the beginning. The quality of the food and the quality of the service was incredible. Looking forward to come back soon.
Was there for day use had a wonderful experience. Very nice and friendly staff from reception. Meet with Mr Girish and Mr Ian who gave me a wonderful welcoming. Went to the Spa for a massage and Miss Debhora took me out of this world with her magical hand and Mr Akash gave us a very good eplanation on over all. Thank you all Will surely recoment and come back. See you soon.
You can improve the service at front desk and food serving area.people almost snatch the plate even the people are eating. And front desk people can be polite and more responsive with a smile The girl Paransha was wonderful at front desk 👏 she should be best person at front desk
Thanks a lot for our stay was amazing all the staff was friendly the food was delicious will surely come back again. Thank to Wahlid from FB and Aurelie From reservation they was great and helpful. Will surely recommend this hotel to anyone. Will be back soon
