My partner and I were given a gift of a two-night stay at the Sleepy Fox Inn & Spa. Due to unforeseen circumstances (a necessary surgery and the COVID-19 pandemic), our visit was delayed two years. The inn keepers, Scott and Loren, have made major adjustments to continue their service and keep everyone 'safe'. Masks are worn and we had limited contact with them, unfortunately. Both Scott & Loren went out of their way to accommodate us. The room is very large and clean, the king size bed comfortable. The lush, green location includes trees, shrubs and a vegetable garden. We enjoyed a day-long trip to Grayson Highlands State Park, a beautiful drive with stunning views. We also drove to Damascus, where we saw bikers coming off the Virginia Creeper Trail. All in all, it was a restful time away from home.

My wife and I spent two superb days at Loren and Scott Webster's inn. The location provides an idyllic escape from the chaos of modern American life where you hear only the sounds of nature in the mature garden setting. The charming hosts welcome guests to share the delights of their home and add the personal touch of bright, informed conversation.

We highly recommend you stay at the Sleepy Fox Inn. My wife and I came for a two night getaway and loved everything about the Inn. Scott and Loren are fantastic hosts. The room is a stand-alone unit with warmth by the fire, relaxing music, a scenic covered patio, and total quiet if you want it. The breakfast is refreshing, delicious, and helped fill us up for two fun hiking days. You are close to Grayson Highlands. Hike the Cabin Creek Trail for a 2 mile beautiful waterfall tour of the park. Hike to Mt. Rogers for a 9 mile climb on the AT. All around outstanding visit. Will come back.

This stand-alone cabin is nestled in the woods and surrounded by sensational perennial gardens. There is a completely charming and private porch with subtle lighting and comfy furniture. Once inside and up the stairway, you arrive into a gorgeous, spacious room with wood burning stove as the focal point of the living room. Just beyond the sitting area is a king size bed that is super comfortable with lots of perfectly plump pillows! There is a full bathroom, coffee station with delicious biscotti, a vaulted ceiling and an abundance of ambiance! We had breakfast, lunch and dinner and all three meals were PERFECTION!!! Loren and Scott use fresh organic ingredients - many from their garden. Each meal was truly scrumptious and the background music completely delightful. Finally, Loren and Scott are warm, genuine, interesting and incredibly talented in so many ways...Loren is a fabulous massage therapist to boot! DEFINITELY a very special retreat!!!!

When I learned about the wild ponies at Grayson Highland State Park I knew I wanted to visit the area. I stumbled onto the website for the Sleepy Fox Inn. It looked gorgeous and had fantastic reviews from previous guests so we decided to book a weeklong stay. I'm so glad we tried it. Scott and Loren were fantastic hosts and their property is gorgeous! The reviews and the website did not disappoint.

Each morning we enjoyed a breakfast that was delicious. We hiked or biked most days and those breakfasts were hearty enough to keep us filled up most of the day. There is no way you will leave breakfast hungry.

When you book with them, they only have one room that is detached from their house. It is a spacious loft with a covered porch that faces the woods. Their place really is a quiet retreat.

Also, I loved meeting Belle. She is their dog who is a bit shy but she eventually came over (at times) for some pets. She is a sweetheart.

Bottom line, I would highly recommend the Sleepy Fox! You'll get a fantastic breakfast, great conversation in the morning with Scott and Loren, a serene setting, and a comfortable, spacious place to stay. You'll really can't ask for much more.

We had a very nice relaxing stay and visit. Scott and Loren we very friendly and accommodating. Conversations at breakfast were engaging and we learned and laughed a good bit. Everything was comfortable and clean and it is definitely away from it all. Don't count on your cell carrier if you have AT&T. The whole region is a black whole with no signal at all. But again, things are much quieter when the phone isn't ringing.

Our first stay at the Sleepy Fox Inn will certainly not be our last! We were drawn to the area for its rural setting and rolling countryside, which coincided with the peak of the fall leaves changing colors. Scott and Lorin were the most gracious of hosts. The breakfasts were hearty and beautifully presented! These two are gourmet cooks.
We did some hiking at the state park, but there is quite a lot to explore in the region. Wish we had more time, but we'll be back!

the photos don't do this property justice! Just walk into the guest suite, you'll be surrounded by amazing woodwork throughout- from the ceiling to moldings. With the cross-breezes mingling with the scent of wood, it's just heavenly. The grounds are gorgeous as is the dining room in the main house. And I haven't even begun to speak of the hosts who couldn't be more attentive. Their kindness made us feel very welcomed and comfortable. Loren gave my daughter an amazing massage and both Loren and Scott prepare gourmet meals that are absolutely delicious. I am thankful for their willingness to provide dinners given the far distance to nearby restaurants, not to mention that much of their food comes from an organic garden--tough to beat. And for vegetarians, our pickings in the vicinity are made especially slim. Thank you both for a really nice visit and we definitely look forward to returning!!

Outstanding! Secluded and beautiful. Our room was spacious and private. Wonderful attention to detail. The breakfasts were over the top especially Scott's french toast. The area gives access to the Grayson Highlands Park (5 star) and the VA Creeper bike trail.

The Sleepy Fox Inn is wonderful! The room-more like a suite-was welcoming and very comfortable. Weather was perfect while we were there (mid-July) we slept with windows open. Scott & Loren are great hosts. Her flowers were lovely & she is so knowledgeable of them. And Scott's breakfasts!!! Wow! I could get used to that luxury.
It is really in the middle of nowhere and that is exactly what we wanted. Scott knows all the local restaurants and how to get to them, and gladly we took his recommendations. We left as friends!
