2 ladies traveling around the Virginia countryside during Historic Virginia Garden Week wanted a comfortable spot to rest in the evenings. We found it - in the Carriage House B&B! We stayed in the actual carriage house, and couldn't have been more comfy after our days touring homes, gardens and farms. Breakfast was delish and the inn keepers/owners Kathy and...

We are so glad you enjoyed our Garden Day. We participated in Garden Day about 3 years ago and had over 1200 people though our Bed and Breakfast. It's always enjoyable for us to have guests who fall "in love" with Lynchburg. Thanks for staying with us and for your kind words. We hope to have you stay with us...

The hotel was excellent, our stay in the Hayloft suite was comfortable and relaxing. Breakfast was delicious and my son ate so much that he was full all day. We enjoyed a 7 mile hike around Lynchburg during the day and then a nice dinner in one of the restaurants downtown. We will be back soon for sure.

Thanks for your comments. Glad your son enjoyed his first stay at a bed and breakfast.

We were relegated to the "Hayloft", an renovated outbuilding, despite the fact that the main house was empty of guests. We are a married couple and did not need a room with an extra bed in it, taking up space. The hosts seemed resentful when we wanted to use the sitting room in the main house. The "legendary breakfast", which...

In response to the review above, our first comment is that we are extremely sorry the guests left our bed and breakfast feeling the way they did. Also, unsure why they waited over four months to let us know there was a problem. The review indicated you were traveling with friends so if you made a reservation for rooms in...

We enjoyed our stay at this B&B. Mike & Kathy were down to earth and very gracious. The inn is amazing (that staircase!!) and all the extra touches made us feel right at home. From robes and extra toiletries in the bathroom, to information about the inn and Lynchburg in our room, we just loved it. The room was huge,...

Thank you. We love being close enough to downtown Lynchburg that our guests can walk to dinner, an art show, the theater, or the walking trails. We look forward to your return visit when you can stay for more than one night.

I haven't stayed in many B&Bs before, but WOW! I think I'm spoiled forever. The inn is stunning and furnished very thoughtfully, and in a great location. We stayed in the Stablemaster Suite and loved it. Mike and Kathy are very helpful with dining and winery suggestions - plus their breakfasts are delicious! Since we were the last guests to...

Thanks for your kind words and I hope we see you back soon and I'm glad you have a great B&B experience. I don't know if Kathy told you but Ankida Ridge (the winery you visited) won an international award in Oregon for their Pinot Noir. They were the first winery from the Mid Atlantic Region to be invited to...

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at the Carriage House Inn Bed and Breakfast for our 27th Anniversary. What a treat!! Mike and Kathy went above and beyond to make our stay incredible. Everything from our welcoming arrival to the accommodations to the gourmet breakfasts to the time they spent talking with us and showing us around epitomized...

My husband and I were in Lynchburg on a family history hunt for a week and were fortunate enough to have found this B&B on the Internet. The host and hostess, Mike and Kathy, went out of their way to make us feel at home in their beautifully renovated and decorated home. There were no expenses spared with the attention...

Thank you! As you found out, Lynchburg has a fabulous genealogy library, the Jones Memorial Library. We researched the Watts family when doing research on the original owners of our home/b & b and are glad that they had information for you about your ancestors.

The Carriage House Inn B&B is a gorgeous home that takes you back in time but with a modern twist. Mike and Kathy are gracious hosts who love their home so much they wanted to share it. We travelled to Lynchburg as part of a vacation in Virginia taking in the great history and beauty this state provides. We enjoyed...

If you are traveling through central Virginia and prefer the B&B experience, you must stay at the Carriage House in Lynchburg, Va. Everything about the Carriage House is top notch. We stayed here for our son’s college graduation. This is a very nice and clean Bed and Breakfast. The hosts/ owners have renovated this beautiful Victorian home. It is obvious they take great pride and have put much love into renovating and refurbishing this home along with preserving it’s history. It is beautiful! The breakfasts were also very good. The...

We always enjoy our college student parents, but are sad when the four years are completed and lives move on. Of course, as this reviewer acknowledges, there is plenty to see and do in/around Lynchburg.
