Stopped in a motorhome in the car park on the last weekend in January. Warm welcome in the pub. Friday night had a hearty Fish and chips. As found before a good selection of hand pulled beers kept in good condition by the landlord Roger. Open fires, flag floors, band on saturday night, good company, very unpretencious pub.

The pub is lovely, traditional and friendly, Dogs are welcome too - good for walkers and locals alike. It is in a lovely setting right by the side of the canal I met friends here, had a wonderful evening and stayed over - I pre booked a double room which was in need of care and attention to detail, We...

We arrived on a Saturday afternoon to eat and stay prior to a family get together. There were 6 adults in our party age range 24 to 56. We occupied 3 of the rooms which were clean and tidy and perfectly fine to stay in. We had a lovely meal in the evening and the cooked breakfast the next day...

We checked in, kitchen open until 8.30pm so remember if you wanted to eat later. The room was clean, bed comfortable, so we slept well, bathroom big enough to swing a cat. The breakfast was gorgeous, plenty and filling. Great place to stay for exploring Whaley Bridge area

We arrived on Monday Lunchtime so it was fairly quiet. We only wanted a light snack so we all chose sandwiches, one cheese, one ham and one steak. They were well filled, well presented and tasted great. Both the staff we met were friendly and helpful and the pub had a nice atmosphere. It is also a dog friendly pub....

Yum Yum called in with my daughter for some food and as always it was excellent . The food here is gorgeous and very very tasty. On a sunny day you can sit outside and even watch the barges trundle on by. Would recommend to all types e.g. Families, couples etc

The owner of this place is a complete rude ignorant man who is clearly in the wrong business. The food was disappointing and I would not recommend to anyone. The car park is also full of nails so be aware if you park up.

The Navigation Inn is a relaxed venue near Bugsworth basin. Good range of beer and food at reasonable prices so no need to cook if you are staying locally. Lots of dogs in the bar which can be a challenge as they tend to get a bit territorial. Locals very friendly and welcoming.
