We stayed for two nights. Room was cozy, private bath was more than sufficient. Food was fantastic, host was very helpful. On the weekends there is live music in town (2 blocks), plenty of shopping and dining options. We really enjoyed our visit to Galax.

This was an awesome little B and B which really helped make our Fall journey along the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Inn is a beautiful building which just oozes character. It has been exceptionally well decorated featuring wonderful items from all over the world. Our bedroom was very luxurious and we did not mind at all the bathroom not being...

We travelled to far Southwest Virginia to look at some property to buy and stayed at The Doctors Inn for two nights. Margo, the Innkeeper, is wonderful and helpful. The Inn is immaculate and every amenity you may need is provided. Breakfast was a quiche and bacon.....delicious. The floors are a little creaky but what do you expect from a...

The Doctor's Inn is a quintessential B&B.....period furnishings mixed with new fun things....excellent breakfast....kindly innkeeper. Clean, clean, clean! Many extra amenities in the bathroom plus lots of fluffy towels made the inn a standout.

This gracious old home has large rooms, but not all en-suite bathrooms. The public spaces felt overdecorated, though with interesting items from the former owner who traveled the world. The stairs creaked unmercifully. Breakfast was delicious, though served at 8:30 only. I felt that the fact that the innkeeper was not in residence was kind of a problem, but basically...

Came to Galax to bike the New River Trail and to hear music. We biked and heard great Old-time music. But, the surprise highlight of our visit was our stay at The Doctor's Inn. As with other reviewers, Margo, our phenomenal hostess, handed us the keys to the house and left each afternoon. In the morning we would follow our...

Wonderful place, wonderful reception from Margo, the manager. Galax is at about 2500 feet, so even in summer it is a cool place to visit, for those living in the East Coast lowlands. And, great access to one of the best rail-to-trail conversions in the East Coast, the New River Trail.

My wife and I stayed here whilst travelling down the Blue Ridge Parkway, and it was an absolutely fantastic choice. The Innkeeper, Margo, is absolutely lovely and the epitome of hospitality making us feel especially welcome. It's a beautifully and sensitively kept historical B&B, complemented with nice little person touches from Margo. Rooms are spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable with lots...

It was certainly a delight to meet you both and your stay with us. Thank you so much for your wonderful review and I hope your travels brings you back to see us again. Take care to a lovely couple, who I hope next time I can take to listen to come Beach Music.

The breakfasts were wonderful and the accomodations were perfect. After dinner each night we enjoyed sitting on the front porch until bedtime, reading and visiting. The bed and breakfast was our destination and Galax, a quaint, inviting little town, made the stay all the more enjoyable.
