This is a third world motel. It is extremely obvious that the first floor has flooded in the past, perhaps more than once. I was first assigned a room that smelled like a sewer. I went back to the office and asked for another room. The desk clerk ran off and vetted another room. It didn't smell like a sewer, but it is moldy and musty, and the drywall shows clear evidence of flooding. DO NOT STAY HERE.
I never review but this place definitely, Do not waste your money unless you don’t value your sleep an money. Booked a room but was given wrong room. Had noise all night yelling outside door all hours. Stomping above us all hours as well. Pillows way past due to be replaced. Never again!!
The staff is awesome here! The hotel is very clean and all staff outside is pretty much available all the time. They make sure you are enjoying you’re stay. They are very family oriented. All cleaning ladies was very sweet and helpful as well.
I stayed at this property for one night while visiting the town & Shenandoah Nat Pk. The location was great. Everything was in walking distance. The hotel staff was very nice. I stayed on the ground floor and the wifi did not reach my room. The floor was very dusty so it was a little annoying because I like to walk around with bare feet. I did not try the breakfast preferring to sleep in as it ends very early. I went to close the room shades and they fell on the floor. The room was very cheaply furnished and the floors were also cheap stick on tile. The A/c worked great. It was an ok hotel. I saw no bugs but it was a bit far from the hikes I wanted to do and not the atmosphere I was looking for so one night was enough.
The hotel was comfortable, the food was decent for breakfast..the floors were very dirty and sticky. Some minor room damages like missing baseboards, the rest of the room.was very clean. They were very accommodating and polite. Overall decent stay for the cost.
Wasn't what I was expecting, uncomfortable beds , the pools was closed the ac worked just enough to keep room cool, great location close to everything. The people were pleasant. The internet was strong
Four nights and they never serviced the room, ran out of everything you would expect in a motel room, towels, soap, coffee, everything. The TV remote didn't work. Loads of dust behind the furniture and on light fixtures. killed several cockroaches in the room. Overall not a pleasant experience.
Call Oder hotel rundown floors in the rooms were filthy a lot of upgrades need to be done such as painting new furniture repairs. And get rid of the people that are using it for drug sales. Play hotel management needs to be orientated on Howell to clean an update rooms as far as painting cleanliness furniture in exterior maintenance.
This hotel is close to the entry to the Shenandoah National Park and a walking distance to the heart of historic Front Royal. We reserved the room with breakfast on Booking.com and the price reflected that. When we arrived I asked about the hours and location of breakfast. I was told it would be a “bagged breakfast” . That sounded acceptable because we had a prior experience with that kind of arrangement. In other hotels during COVID pandemic it always meant a brown bag with bottles of juice and water, yogurts, bagel, muffin, apples, hard boiled eggs etc. To my surprise nothing was offered in the morning. When questioned the gentlemen receptionist went to the back of the building and brought two single-serving bags of plain generic oatmeal and that was it! Complete misrepresentation! There was no milk to go with it, no water. I understand that the times are difficult but did not like the misrepresentation! I suggested they should notify Booking and TripAdvisor that they do not offer breakfast or adjust their price. Not only we prepaid and overpaid apparently for the room but they charged my credit card an extra $100 which they returned a few days later! The hotel was dated and messy. I do not think they have the manpower to clean. The room was “tired” looking but bed itself was clean, no bugs. The staff had attitude like they did not particularly care. The Thai restaurant next door is the closest dinner place .…
Do not book here the place is way over priced the ceiling tiles have brown stains with mold there is various structural cracks throughout building the managers treat the Latino housekeeping staff like slaves and mistreat them constantly treading on their rights as free citizens of America their continental breakfast consists of bags of oatmeal the entire building is in serious disrepair and nothing is up to code the Thai restaurant there however was the best part of the stay they have excellent staff and excellent food they lie about their rates and are serious shisters to be honest you shouldn't stay in any of the cheaper shady hotels/motels in that area
