he Gideons are the sweetest people you will ever meet! We arrived at the Inn around 9 pm (which was later than anticipated) but they welcomes us in with smiles and took time to say hello to EVERY person who came. We were definitely hesitant about the entire AirBnB experience because we had never done it before but when we...

Short notice on the arrangements, glad to see they had a room available. Was very surprised to call when we got there and was given a code to get in but no one on site. Owners do not reside on property. Our feeling that this was more like a boarding house than a B&B. Made arrangements to pay the owner...

I am terribly sorry for the problems that this guest encountered and appreciate the feedback. I apologize for the lack of attention to this guest, but we are not a "full service" B&B and most guests like the informality and freedom to use the kitchen at any time. As for the charge after he paid cash, there was a miscommunication...

Exquisite!! A very special memorable evening. We took the advice from the waiter and enjoyed every mouthful. I could take all night describing each course but it would take too long. We enjoyed 5 mouthwatering dishes. Do yourself a favor if you haven't been there, book a table & treat yourself to one of the best meals you will have...

Stayed for two nights over a weekend to attend a birthday celebration. We had rented the whole Inn which was great. Everyone said we felt like we were in someone's home and not a hotel. Every amenity was available to us and the decor homey and interesting. Owners were lovely and so accommodating. Love the town of Clifton Forge. So...

JoAnn made us feel right at home from the start. Beds were comfortable and the location was very convenient. Now, if you were hoping to be coddled with a gourmet breakfast, this is not the place, but don't let that stop you. The supply of breads and pastries for a do-it-yourself Continental morning repast was always more than adequate. Other...

After hiking a section of the Appalachian Trail, I found myself in Clifton Forge with a day to kill before the Amtrak back to New York. Owner JoAnn wouldn't take no for an answer, so I found myself in her ultra clean and tastefully furnished B&B with guests far more discriminating than myself. Conveniently located across the street from a...

Beautiful bed and breakfast in a much needed area! Im originally from this area and always looking for place to stay when my whole family comes. We were so happy when we found this place. We stayed upstairs and reserved 3 rms and had whole house to ourselves. Do reasonable rates, military rates and no tax if paying in cash....

Of the seven rooms available our family took up three, all upstairs. The beds were wonderful and comfortable, The Inn was very clean and always plenty of fresh breakfast food in the kitchen (which my teenage grandson loved, because he likes to eat in the middle of the night). The bathrooms were always ready with fresh towels and anything you...

I travel with a Beatles tribute band called The WannaBeatles. Last night was our second stay at the lovely Red Lantern Inn. It's charming, immaculate, friendly, and memorable. Jo Ann is a natural hostess, who made us feel like family. A large tub for a nice hot bath, a variety of well-kept bedrooms, and a handy kitchen with plenty of...
