Staying at the Channel Bass Inn was more like staying over at a friend's house, rather than a hotel. Barbara and David, the innkeepers, are extraordinarily friendly and hospitable. They do everything they can to make your stay with them unforgettably amazing. The food is delightful, the rooms beautiful and homey. I would not recommend staying at any other establishment...

We had a wonderful stay in this unique character quest house. Our hosts were gracious and generous with their time and the breakfasts were so filling we ended up on a two meal a day diet!!!! The rooms are all individually decorated with air con and the welcome is the warmest one could imagine. We were there for Pony penning...

We have stayed with Barbara and David many times and it has consistently been a wonderful experience all around. Everything from the hospitality, the food (the world-famous scones are to die for!, but it doesn't end there...), the location "downtown", to the convenience (they have bikes to take out and ample supply of beach equipment that we never have to...

My wife, 3 children and I are experience travelers and have had the good fortune to explore many beautiful places around the world. We all honestly agree that the "Channel Bass Inn" ranks at the top of our list in wonderful places to stay. The innkeepers, Barbara and David, define the meaning of hospitality. Barbara's breakfasts are absolutely amazing!!!! The...

We sent our daughter and her best friend on a lifelong dream trip to Chincoteague Island. We chose the Channel Bass because from the reviews and website it was what our daughter and girlfriend were hoping to experience. It turned out to be even better than we had hoped. Barbara and David the owners were so gracious and kind. They...

I read the reviews and took a chance. I am certainly glad I did. Barbara and David are wonderful. The food was excellent and the...

We stayed in June of 2014 and had a wonderful experience. David and Barbara were very hospitable and made us feel at home. Barbara did an excellent job of recommending restaurants and making reservations. Our room was very clean and our beds were made every day and new towels were provided. The homemade breakfasts were always a treat. We would...

David and Barbara are wonderful hosts. From the moment we arrived we felt at home. My husband and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary here. We stayed on the third floor and the room was large and very comfortable. It was a bonus having a small refrigerator to keep our wine cold for a late afternoon cocktail after the beach....

Not only was this our first time to Chincoteauge, but it was also our first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast. I found the Channel Bass Inn through internet searches of pet friendly lodging on the island. Upon arrival, the innkeepers were very friendly and helpful with showing us our room. I truly appreciated that they allowed my small...

We stayed in May 2014 for a weekend. Brought our dog, and we chose the Channel Bass Inn primarily from the reviews and also because they allow dogs. Barbara and David were great about recommending restaurants and activities. Our room was at the top, clean, perhaps a little dated bathroom and carpeting. The breakfast was a group affair at a...
