My husband and I stayed one night at the Clifton Inn and loved every minute! The old world charm of the main house where we stayed is both elegant and understated. The room in which we stayed delighted us with it's cleanliness and simple luxuriousness. Comfortable king sized bed, plenty of room to relax and en suite bath. The grounds...

My wife and I booked two nights here on our return road trip visiting friends on our way back to Chicago, hoping to relax in luxury for two days. I requested a handicap accessible room given my physical challenges and while there was a walk way to the room with no steps, the bathroom had an old claw foot tub...

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Very nice staff. Grounds and room are well kept. Food was good. Our 2 night stay came with complimentary breakfast. Main and largest complaint is that we received the same breakfast on both mornings - no variety whatsoever. I wouldn't exactly call it a continental breakfast either. It was a small yogurt parfait, three mini...

The Clifton Inn is, by far, my favorite getaway spot. This was my seventh visit here and it certainly won't be my last. Beautiful grounds, gorgeous rooms & stellar service are just a few of the things that keep me coming back. Thanks again to everyone at The Clifton for your gracious hospitality.

My husband and I spent 2 nights at the Clifton inn and had a very enjoyable stay. The room in the main building was spacious and comfortable, the staff was helpful and the grounds are lovely. You should take a walk around the lake. A tasty continental breakfast is included but there is an a la carte menu for those...

Expect for the front desk staff, we can't find anything to recommend the Clifton Inn. We stayed in the main house in a room with a king bed. The bathroom was spacious and featured a claw foot tub. It was delightful except for the fact that access was down a flight of stairs! Not very much fun if you need...

Janet, Thank you so much for taking the time to give us feedback on your stay. I'm so sorry you didn't like one of Clifton's original room in our main historic building. Our guest services manager would have been happy to move you to a different room without a stair case going down to the bathroom. We are most sincere...

Absolutely fantastic!! You can't beat the beautiful setting!! The afternoon tea served outside or inside was enjoyable. The coffee & breakfast were delightful, too. The great service only adds to the Inn's charm. The claw foot bathtub, complimentary Madeira wine and the wood planked floors was like stepping back in time. The jet shower with great pressure and comfortable bed...

We just enjoyed a fantastic, hugely relaxing night at the Clifton Inn. I booked about an hour before pitching up and got lucky with a large room - the shower alone was worth the cost of the room. Very warm welcome. Roaring fires. Beautiful decorations. Great restaurant - we asked to sit in the kitchen at the 'chef's table'. Overall,...

My family recently spent some time at the Clifton Inn and we were completely impressed. Everyone from the GM to the room maids were outstanding. The food was 5 star as was all of the service from arrival to departure. A true hidden gem. A side story. My 10 year old came down from the room with me to read...

We spent one night at the charming inn and can highly recommend it. The room was spacious as was the bath and I enjoyed siping a little Madeira after dinner! The food was excellent and served on such a pretty terrace . Coffee has never tasted better and I asked what kind they used so I could duplicate. You will...
