We went for Sunday brunch and it was excellent. Lovely country drive from northern Virginia. While you waited for your food, they had this table in the center of the room where you helped yourself to scones and a variety of different bread, plus fruit. In addition, a complimentary mimosa! Our Chesapeake eggs Benedict arrived cooked to perfection. Just when...

We came to Poplar Springs for lunch with friends and it was very good. Service was good and the 6 of us all enjoyed lunch. I had the halibut and it was delicious. My husband loved his Kobe beef sliders and all appreciated the bread basket. I would highly recommend The Manor House Restaurant.

My experience was consistent with many of the other reviews here. The setting of this resort is incredibly beautiful and immensely relaxing. The rooms are attractive and fairly well.maintained. The salt-chlor pool was quiet and beautiful. My spa experience was ok- my pedicure was average and far overpriced, but my facial was amazing with notable.improvements in my skin. The food...

Beautiful grounds, Restaurant was excellent with excellent staff; however, the staff at the Inn where you stay need training on social skills. They were very young and very quiet and shy and not at all welcoming. No napkins at breakfast, never checked on the coffee situation and never asked if we needed anything else or how our stay was going....

We spent one night at the Inn at Poplar Springs (would have loved to spend more), which is beautiful, serene and unpretentious. We asked for a "quiet room" (there are only 21 rooms total), and were given a lovely, quiet corner room at the end of the corridor. The rooms had recently been refurbished and ours was spacious, very pretty...

My wife and I visited this property last fall and enjoyed ourselves very much staying on the beautiful grounds for two luxurious days. We enjoyed the spa, me for a massage and my wife for a facial. The rooms were large and had either a nice balcony on the 2nd floor or exterior doors. What we found the most enjoyable...

My adult daughter and I had a pleasant stay at the Poplar Springs Inn and an enjoyable afternoon at the spa. The spa itself is peaceful and relaxing. The staff was friendly and professional. Despite having a very busy day they were kind enough to squeeze me in for a nonscheduled pedicure . My facial technician was skilled with a...

I would give this slightly higher than 3 stars if given the ability. Poplar Springs has a lot to offer. Beautiful grounds, quiet and peaceful. The staff is helpful and friendly and the Inn was very clean. Continental breakfast was good and very adequate. The common areas were very manicured and well kept. The spa, although a bit on the...

We booked this hotel which looked lovely on the Booking.com site. Unfortunately they didn't let us know that the restaurant is closed nearly half the week and the bar closes at five on Sunday. The Staff were great though and the hotel does look lovely once they have gotten their act together. The room looked great and the location is...

Dear “freightmate,” Thank you for taking the time to share your insightful feedback with us. Unfortunately, our Manor House restaurant is closed Monday and Tuesday, but there are many restaurants in nearby Warrenton that is a short, ten-minute drive. We’re sorry that you weren’t able to stay and enjoy all of the wonderful amenities that Poplar has to offer. We...

We stayed here recently to celebrate an anniversary. It is a great escape for city dwellers from Washington or elsewhere to experience a country inn/hotel. The room was very quiet, and the spa experience was special (we each had a massage). The pool was very nice, and has a good patio to enjoy a drink, read a book, or sit...

Dear “rickoutdoors,” We’re flattered that you chose Poplar Springs as your anniversary celebration destination! It sounds as though you were able to take full advantage of many of the amenities offered here at Poplar. We will definitely take your recommendation of adding more “summer drinks” to the pool bar menu. We hope you can come back and visit us soon!...
