From NY it is some 4 1/2 hours of a pleasant drive ( take Merritt Parkway and highway 91 ) through beautiful forests. I am sure it must be even better in October with foliage at its peak. The Inn is charming, old brick and wooden house. The Inn keeper , Katja , is always available and smiling. Nice rooms...

We spent two days at the Windham Inn and had a wonderful time. The grounds are truly special, from the views of the Green Mountains to the beautiful gardens to all the special sitting areas. We used the Inn as a base to do some hiking and visit some of the nearby towns, but it would be a great place...

We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday here after delivering our teen to camp in New Hampshire. We received a warm welcome from the innkeeper, Katja, who escorted us to our beautiful room in the barn. The location is perfect with beautiful gardens and hiking trails. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck off of our bedroom. The 5-course meal was a...

We decided to reserve one night at this Relais & Chateaux on our way to Kennebunkport, being offered a special rate after renting a room at their sister Hotel. While a bit out of the way, it is close to Stratton Mountain (ski resort) and other nice little villages. Very clean, nice hotel, and the combination room-5 course meal is...

A shimmering tree reminded me again that this is a magical place, set in the serene wilderness of graceful Southern Vermont mountains. It was like a beacon, drawing down cooling summer breezes as we lazed by the pool, far removed from toil and untroubled by the hectic world that we assumed was still out there somewhere. Hours after our sumptuous...

We just returned from a three-day getaway at the Windham Hill Inn, staying in the Main house and never leaving the property. The Inn is a special place, nothing cookie cutter or pretend about it. Every room is different but they are all light and inviting, with central air if you want it and wide open windows if you don't....

We have enjoyed at least a dozen dinners at Relais and Chateaux restaurants in New England and Canada. This was the only time we have been seriously disappointed. The service was friendly and Katja, the Innkeeper, was very engaging. (We did not stay at the Inn, only had dinner there.) But the food was just not up to the standards...

We got a relatively good deal on the Windham Hill Inn through Jetsetter when we were looking for a memorial day getaway. We check Trip Advisor before we bought our reservation, and saw all the great reviews, and decided to go with it. I have to agree with everything that people are saying about this place: they go above and...

We just enjoyed a few wonderful days at Windham Hill Inn. The experience really exceeded our expectations. To begin, the grounds and gardens are GORGEOUS. I could not believe the level of upkeep inside the inn and the gardens. Everything inside was spotless, clean, and decorated with great charm and detail. Katja really adds to the experience. She is welcoming...
