There are many beautiful, historic inns and hotels in Vermont. They all pale in comparison to the Applebutter Inn. My now-fiancé and I have been visiting Woodstock and staying at the Applebutter Inn every year since we first discovered it in 2006. The inn is truly spectacular, the inn-keepers, Barbara and Michael, are one-of-a-kind, and we have never had anything...

Apple Butter Inn is an Elegant home away from home. Lovely gathering rooms. The room I personally stayed in the "Pippin" room was as if it was made for me, it include it own bathroom, beautiful linens and lovely views. The inn was easy to find close to Woodstock Center and Queche. Lovely location to walk over the Taftville covered...

My husband and I have been coming to the Applebutter Inn for 3 years now to celebrate our anniversary. I've always been a fan of staying at Inn's and B&B's, but the Applebutter Inn, is the first one where my husband every felt truly at home and comfortable. The location is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, shoppers, and couch potatoes. The...

Michael and Barbara the Inn keepers have created a dream haven, with beautiful details and incredible warmth, hospitality, and charm. Not to mention the amazing breakfast. They accommodated all our needs, were the prefect amount of social and helpful, and provided a romantic private relaxing environment. We have been trying to carve a long weekend to go back since then!...

Bob and Diane - Bathurst - Australia My wife and I stayed at the Applebutter Inn for four nights in October. We stayed in the Baldwin Room as it was the only room available at the time we were visiting from Australia. From the information on the website we knew it was the smallest room in the Inn but wanted...

My sister and I stayed here in Dec. and though the fireplaces weren't roaring : ( we had a really neat time. The place is outside of Woodstock in a lovely wooded area and off the main road. A lovely house, very friendly hosts and the breakfast (gingerbread pancakes, eggs and meat, yogurt and fruit and of course, apple butter)...

My husband and I just ended our third annual visit to Woodstock, VT, and with that, our third stay at the Applebutter Inn! The Cameo room was as cozy as always, breakfast even more delicious than we remembered, and the proprietors just as wonderful. We could stay and chat with Michael and Barbara all day. Despite the fact that we've...

We stayed at the Applebutter Inn mainly due to the price and wonderful reviews on TripAdvisor. Although we enjoyed our stay in Woodstock and for the most part at the Applebutter Inn we have to admit we were a little disappointed. Part of this could have been our own fault because we opted for the smallest room with the bathroom...

mpacht, owner at Applebutter Inn Bed and Breakfast, responded to this review

We were saddened to read that one of our guests had an "average" experience at the Applebutter Inn. With all due respect, we question that assessment. The review compliments the owners, and the atmosphere, and the breakfast. The only disappointment mentioned, then, was with the guests' own decision to book our smallest room. That was apparent on check-in when they...

We stayed at the Applebutter Inn for two nights during our honeymoon in New England. The only negative thing we can say is that we didn't stay long enough! This place really is a superlative B&B and great value for the quality of accommodation, food and service on offer. The owners, Barbara and Michael, are exceptional hosts - nothing was...
